At a lecture in 1861 he unveiled what is to be considered as the first durable color photograph. It certainly sounds a lot more interesting than anything I did at school.

Welcome to TFB Weekly Amazon Deals 13. For the last couple of months, James over at TFBTV has been going through a pretty extensive series of videos centered around shotguns. Although perhaps slightly less favored than handguns or rifles for home defense or tactical situations, the shotgun is often the first thing many people gravitate towards when they are thinking of home defense solutions. This week for our TFB Amazon deals, I’ve gone through some of the items that James has mentioned in his videos and found some that happen to be on sale. I’ve also found a few other deals on aftermarket shotgun accessories for those looking to put together a budget home defense shotgun setup. Federal Ammunition has introduced a new line of shotshell loads on the heels of this year’s Olympics. The new High Over All (HOA) shotshell loads are intended for competitive use and offer shooters better reloadability and more consistent shot patterns. Federal has optimized these loads for trap, skeet, and sporting clay shooters that need the best that Federal Ammunition can offer its customers.

Savage Arms recently partnered with the Big Game Brew small-batch coffee company to feature their Renegauge shotguns and their Backcountry Xtreme rifle series. The Big Game Brew company donate a portion of their sales to conservation efforts around the country to preserve hunting habitats for future generations. The Savage Arms partnership includes one dark roast showcasing the artwork of Renegauge shotgun in use, and a medium roast featuring the art of a Savage Backcountry Xtreme rifle.

Pietta is an Italian replica firearm manufacturer that specializes in historic long arms, single-action revolvers, and black powder revolvers. Davidson’s has partnered up with Pietta to create three new Pietta Exclusives for their customers. The trio will include two new revolvers and one double-barrel side-by-side 12 gauge shotgun. All three of these new exclusive items are in inventory now and shipping to dealers.

Goose Hunting is something that I’ve never participated in but would probably get into if not for my irrational hatred of Canadian Geese. EAA has just introduced a tool specifically for that job with the MC312 Goose shotgun. The new shotgun is a semi-auto 3-1/2″ cartridge-capable lightweight option for the avian hunter that sports a load of features right out of the box. As opposed to their tactical and sports options of the MC312, the MC312 Goose features no pistol grip and comes with 5 choke tubes to generate various patterns suited for big bird hunting.

We’ve all heard the tired “boating accident” trope, and it was funny while it lasted, but in all seriousness, boating season is upon us, and a lot can go wrong on the water, so let’s take a look at boat guns. The term boat guns is an aquatic adaptation of the term “ truck gun” or “trunk gun,” and generally refers to keeping a rifle or shotgun handy for self-defense, or sometimes for impromptu hunting ( or fishing?). About 6 years ago, Adaptive Tactical introduced their EX Performance Forend and Stock for Remington and Mossberg shotguns. The at the time new forend used a high-strength polymer that was equipped with a 2″ section of Picatinny rail so that a light or laser could be attached. Now, Adaptive Tactical has reintroduced a redesigned version of the EX Performance Light Forend that includes a 300-Lumen light powered by two AA batteries.

The Gould Brothers are a pair of exhibition shooters specializing in some pretty extreme shotgun shooting. This week, the Gould Brothers have broken two of their own records and nailed a 180-yard pigeon break using Federal Ammunition’s Heavyweight TSS #7 shot.

EAA/Akkar has just revamped their popular Akkar Churchill 220 and 620 shotguns for home defense. Shotguns provide unparalleled close-range power but often are too long to be properly used within the home where narrow hallways are common. NEMO Arms, a company primarily known for manufacturing AR-pattern rifles and their recoil-reducing BCG/buffer system, has entered the market of double-barreled shotguns. According to the company, their new line of Over & Under shotguns “will tie in nostalgic features of classic shotguns that we all know and love, with the added modern twist of NEMO’s revolutionary technology“. These shotguns are apparently made for NEMO Arms by Italian Bettinsoli.

XS Sights has just announced their new Plus 2 magazine extension tube for Remington 870 pattern, 12 gauge shotguns. XS Sights has been making more than just sights for quite a while, but this is their first foray into the shotgun magazine extension market.
