For those who don’t know, the USA Clay Target League is a youth-focused sport shooting league featuring over 1,400 homeschooled, college, and high school student teams that are spread out across the nation. This year the USA Clay Target League has seen some phenomenal numbers in terms of participation with over 31,000 student-athletes participating in the opening stages of the 2022 season breaking previous year’s records. With this news also comes the fact that the USACTL is in fact one of the fastest-growing school sports in the country.

The new SL5 Turkey Shotgun is a semi-auto 3-inch shell compatible platform specifically designed to be a competitive but affordable entry into the turkey hunting shotgun category. The new shotgun will be made available in 3 different camouflage patterns and come complete with optics capability and a pistol grip right from the factory.

Masterkey-style shotguns are very well known within the United States but they are also a rare find within the wilds of the firearms community. This is due mostly because of ATF regulations that turn such a shortened underslung shotgun into a short-barreled shotgun (SBS). The Turkish firearms company Akdas makes a wide variety of shotguns one of which is the AK12 UBS. The UBS comes complete as a somewhat odd-looking shotgun, but what makes it unique is that it can be detached from its stock and reattached to a Picatinny rail in a matter of minutes.

With so many new shooters joining our community over the past few years, it’s important to have options to accommodate them all.
