What did that old deodorant ad say? “Strong enough for a man, made for a woman”. However you may feel about that, Walther has engineered the  PDP F-Series specifically for female shooters and those out there with smaller hands.

SAR USA has a new striker-fired pistol called the SAR9 Compact X. The SAR9 Compact X features a compact size for concealability, a polymer frame and a 4″ forged steel barrel and slide with lightening cuts. The “X package” features a Cerakoted slide with a matching color frame on some models. There is a choice of three insertable back straps to personalize the grip. The pistol also comes with a paddle holster, double mag pouch, magazine loader and a weapon light.

Atlantic Firearms has introduced the DIY Zastava M70 that you can add whatever M70 stock, pistol grip, and handguard set to, which allows the user to customize their rifle right off the bat. AKM rifles have become much more modular in recent years, including lots of options when it comes to furniture. The ability to start off with the shooter’s desired stock set may save some money if they can pick out which stock set they’d like, as well as not having to add to the unused gun accessory pile from the stock set they didn’t want.

Is Dark Earth the new Black? Nightforce Optics claims so in their latest offering with more ATACR and NX8 riflescopes in this color. To complete the system, their UltraMount is available in the same combination. According to Nightforce, their anodizing process offers a durable and corrosion-resistant surface finish, and it’s the same process used for their USSOCOM riflescope contracts.

Back in January B&T USA announced the arrival of the SPC9 – Special Purpose Carbine, well now they’ve introduced a 16-inch barrel version. The new SPC9-16 is aimed primarily at the PCC competitor market while also offering a barrel which can get the best out of 9x19mm in all other situations and doesn’t need a brace.

I’m a meat and potatoes kind of guy, and honestly, I’ve never been one for flashy firearms. My go-to colors are black and tan. But when my inbox had the announcement from Atlantic Firearms about this 24K Gold AK, I couldn’t help but drool a tiny bit. Is it gaudy? Yes. Tacky even? Oh my, absolutely! But something about how well the finish job on this gun came out makes me just want to hold it for a little while and pretend I didn’t just have to decide between beef or chicken ramen this week.

Having spent the weekend on the shooting range with a suppressed handgun, it’s with great excitement I found out about the new Maxim Defense MKIV-SD. The package consists of a Ruger MKIV .22LR pistol with an integral suppressor with or without a red dot. According to Maxim Defense, there is no detectable first round pop, and overall the sound should be well below hearing safe levels. Considering I was shooting 9mm supersonics without hearing protection, it’s hard to imagine how quite this .22LR would be in comparison.

Maxim Defense is introducing a new DSX-D Suppressor, with a three-piece MonoKore design that adds 7.25” to the muzzle of your rifle. The DSX-D is full-auto rated in all available calibers, but there is an 8.5” barrel restriction. It can be pinned to a 10.3” barrel to effect a 16” overall barrel length.

The Mossberg 940 Pro 12-gauge autoloading shotgun was released in 2020. Now the 940 Pro Turkey version is available in the Mossy Oak Greenleaf camouflage pattern.  The model is offered in two barrel lengths, 18.5″ and 24″. Both shotguns come optics-ready with receiver cuts to accept Shield RMSc footprint micro dot sights. Mossberg also claims that the gas system allows for up to 1500 rounds before cleaning.

Hawke Optics has a new Reflex Sight Wide View with Circle Dot reticle. While the sight will work for almost any firearm, Hawke recommends that you use it on your shotgun and pattern it so that the dot is on the center mass of the target – a Turkey for instance – and you’ve got a shotgun that can quickly get you on the bird. The sight features a 2-MOA red dot with 8 levels of brightness and a fixed focus at 9 meters / 10yds. Attachment is done via a Weaver rail. The price noted on their webpage is $189.

The new Rave PCC Trigger from RISE Armament is based on the original RISE  Rave 140 Trigger. According to the manufacturer, it’s a budget-friendly trigger upgrade that will drastically improve the reliability of your PCC. Furthermore, the Rave PCC Trigger features an enhanced hammer engineered to withstand the powerful impact of a PCC’s blowback system. Some of the other features include a crisp, clean 3.5-lb. trigger pull, single-stage with Quik-Klik reset and the trigger comes with free anti-walk pins.

Brownells has (at long last) released the Classic Stock for the BRN-180 family of firearms. It mimics the look of the original AR-180 stock for fans of the traditional design.

If you haven’t used a thermal monocular yet you should at least try one. Thermal monoculars work both day and night and can be used for target and terrain observations more or less anywhere. X-Vision Optics now has a new thermal monocular called the TM1, which features a 400 x 300 thermal detector and a 1.7 to 6.8x digital magnification. Furthermore, the unit has picture-in-picture functions and is said to have a 1900-yard detection range and a 750-yard recognition range.  The price for the XVT Thermal Monocular – TM1 is $2,499.99.

Texas-based Primary Arms Optics is announcing two new scopes for their GLx line of optics – the GLx 1-6x24mm FFP Rifle Scope and the GLx 4-16x50mm FFP Rifle Scope with the ACSS Athena BPR MIL Reticle. The GLx 1-6x24mm comes with two reticle options with either built-in ballistic drop compensation for the 5.56, .308, 5.45, and similar cartridges and the other offers a MIL Grid for use with any caliber or barrel length. The price is $699.99.

The AGM Global Vision Fuzion handheld thermal and optical bi-spectrum monoculars are equipped with a high sensitivity thermal detector and an ultra-low light optical detector. Combined with a display and eyepiece, the Fuzion model line can quickly detect hiding objects even under extreme environments such as smoke, fog, rain, snow, etc. The use can be applied to multiple scenarios like patrol, search and rescue and hunting. The MSRP ranges from $2,200 to $3,039.

Leica’s Amplus 6 Riflescope is now available in an MOA version, which one has to presume is to please customers in the U.S. market mainly. Some of the features include a 6x power zoom, which should cover most essential hunting situations, as well as a generous eye relief. Leica scopes are famous for their wide field of view, and the Leica Amplus 6 is no exception with up to 38 meters FOV (100 m).

Kahles Optics (Austria) have a hunting riflescope for us, called the HELIA 1.6-8x42i. This is a light and compact riflescope to be used for stalking and driven hunts. The Helia features a wide field of view (up to 25 m/100 m) with up to 8x magnification, and it is possible to use it in combination with night vision devices (clip-ons). According to Kahles, the illuminated reticle is extra-bright and has an intelligent automatic switch-off to save the batteries.

A new Vortex Strike Eagle has landed, and it’s a very welcome and interesting one. The new Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8×24 is an LPVO with a First Focal Plane (FFP) reticle, giving you red dot-like characteristics at 1x as well as accurate holdovers at any magnification out to 600 yards.

More rounds are always appreciated, and Strike Industries has been providing more rounds for your Glock with their polymer Extended Magazine Plate (EMP) for a few years. While the polymer versions continue to keep customers happy, people have been calling for a metal version. Well, now Strike Industries has delivered. Utilizing the same design that people love, the new aluminum EMP for Glock 19 pistols is now available.

According to iRayUSA, their new RICO Alpha Thermal Sight is a culmination of decades of user feedback, research, development. The new thermal sight features a high-performance iRay Micro II core together with a high contrast AMOLED HD display. Furthermore, the sight offers a picture-in-picture function, 6-hour run time, an ultra-rigid, glass-filled polymer housing with 1000 G shock resistance and 32 Gb of internal memory for videos. The Alpha is designed, machined, assembled and serviced in Texas.

Late last year, Vytal Manufacturing introduced Beskar grips for the CZ75 (and variants), that resemble Mandalorian Beskar armor as seen in season one of the Mandalorian Star Wars show. For anyone that hasn’t seen The Mandalorian, the bounty hunter, Din Djarin, is offered a job which will be paid with a metal called Beskar, with the payment being separated into Imperial marked ingots. The new Springfield Armory Hellcat Pro had a huge launch. The pistol, designed specifically for concealed carry, is not complete without a holster. If you regularly conceal a handgun, you know that just one holster is never enough, and I’m guessing all of you have a dedicated holster drawer. Sellier & Bellot from the Czech Republic has a long tradition of producing ammunition, they’ve been doing it since 1825. Volker Precision recently announced that they’ve been working on a project to manufacture Beretta 92 slides that are “optics ready,” and allow for the lowest possible mounting platform for micro red dot optics. Volker Precision has already been producing Glock 19 slide blanks, and their first venture into the Beretta 92 market was a straight trigger. It appears that the new Volker Precision Beretta 92 Slides are still being sorted out in CAD drawings, so no word yet on pricing and when they’ll be available.

Many times, I find that folks in the gun community also enjoy other outdoor activities. If you find yourself hiking, especially with a lot of gear, you might have noticed that a gun on your belt isn’t always the most comfortable or accessible option. Big is back. Shooters have been shying away from small guns and opting for compact but capable micro-compacts. Springfield Armory’s entrance into the micro-compact market was a huge success with the introduction of the Hellcat. With that success comes more accessories, but more importantly, more guns. Wilson Combat is well known for its customized 1911s, Remington shotguns, and custom-carry handguns. A short while ago they released their SFX9 solid frame carry guns to the market. The handguns offered a solid aluminum frame, double-stack 9mm magazines, and 3 or 4 inch barrel options for concealed carry. Now Wilson is offering a 5 inch SFX9 for those of you out there who prefer the sight radius of a full-sized 1911.
