Zeiss Introduces New Generation of V8 Riflescopes

With the driven hunt season just around the corner, Zeiss seems to be on fire with new releases for all sorts of hunting and sports shooting. Just a few days ago, the Zeiss LRP S5 FFP Precision Rifle Scope was released, and it’s now time for the Zeiss V8 family of riflescopes to get an upgrade. Zeiss V8 1.1 – 8×24, V8 2.8 – 20×56, V8 2.8 – 20×56 and V8 4.8 – 35×60 models all get their share with a downsizing of the center tube diameter (now 30/34 mm) while keeping the generous eye box they’re famous for. New Wraith 4K Mini Digital Riflescope from Sightmark

There is a new compact digital riflescope from Sightmark called the Wraith 4K Mini 2-16×32, intended for hunting using night vision or daytime color modes. It uses a 3840×2160 pixels CMOS sensor that can detect objects up to 300 yards away in extreme darkness. The display is a 1280×720 FLCOS screen, and you can record AVI format videos in 1080p.

MR-30 Precision Rifles Custom Built From D&L Sports

The long range precision market has exploded in the past decade, but Dave Lauck of D&L Sports has been building and improving his MR-30 Precision Rifle over the past four decades. The MR-30 is built in-house, and is made in different configurations and calibers according to the end-user’s needs. Dave explained that they’ve chambered guns from 6mm to .338 Lapua, in traditional, long range profiles (designated “MR-30 PG, or Professional Grade”), down to compact and lightweight models for urban deployment, as well as quick handling versions. Kahles Goes Thermal – HELIA TI 35 & TI 25 Thermal Imaging Spotters

In a recent online Press Conference, the Austrian optics manufacturer Kahles released their first-ever thermal imaging products. Named HELIA TI these thermal imaging devices come in either a 25 mm or a 35 mm version, where the larger number means better thermal performance. The models are said to be optimized for hunting, with the note: “Not a button too many, none in the wrong place. Uncompromising simple and fast detection day and night.”
