Desert Tech unveiled their new Quattro-15 lower alongside a new Quadmag-53 at SHOT Show 2022.  Using a quad-stack design, the Quattro-15 paired with the QuadMag-53 looks to bring more capacity to your favorite AR-15 upper.  Desert Tech was kind enough to show me all the features of their new lower and magazine on the floor at SHOT Show 2022.

Shown for the first time at SHOT Show 2022 was WEE1 Tactical’s JR-15 rifle.  It’s designed to be a perfect scaled-down replica of the AR platform with youth shooters in mind.  I had a chance to sit down with Eric from WEE1 Tactical to talk about the new AR-pattern 22lr platform.

We’ve all made fun of Turkish clones of guns. I’m certainly guilty of it. But today I’m eating a little humble pie, as EAA imports the Girsan MC P35 Match, a Hi-Power with all the modern features.

I have to admit to being a bit of a Radian fanboy. The Raptor charging handle is second to none in my opinion, and I have one in each of my ARs at home. It looks like there might be two more Radian products coming to my personal guns, the Ramjet barrel, and Afterburner micro-compensator.

New for 2022 from Axil in collaboration with Sig Sauer is the Ghost Stryke Extreme 2.0 in-ear bluetooth compatible electronic hearing protection system.  The Ghost Stryke 2.0 is connected via bluetooth to your device, and the earbuds are tethered to each other via a cable that also connects the on/off switch, volume controls, and rechargeable power source.

Stopping by EAA’s booth at range day, their was a whole lotta of firearms to choose from. First off, I elected to try a few magazines with the Girsan MCP35, a Browning Hi-Power clone being imported by EAA. The MCP35 can be had in quite a few different colors and finishes (including gold, if that’s your thing) as well as with a number of different grip styles.

Palmetto State Armory showed off a variety of new products today, including the widely rumored and eagerly anticipated 5.7 Rock handgun. They also had their PSAK-105 pistol that I shot yesterday, a PSAK in 5.56, and a clone of the Chinese “Spiker” AK in 7.62×39.

Kalashnikov USA was eager to show off their 5.56 KR-101 rifle on the SHOT show floor today. I spoke with Dave, Kalashnikov USA’s VP of marketing, about it.

Today at SHOT 2022’s Industry Day at the Range, Umarex unveiled their brand new Primal 20. Airguns have been carving themselves a niche in the hunting market and Umarex is one of the big names in that area. Their newest offering is a 20-gauge slug firing airgun.

At today’s pre-Industry Day at the Range, Standard Manufacturing unveiled their newest SG9 pistol.  This new striker-fired offering comes in both a regular and optics-ready version. Their president was kind enough to show us the newest pistol first.

Today at NSSF’s Industry Day at the Range, I got a chance to take a few shots with Savage’s new 110 PCS bolt action pistol. Savage is no stranger to having a bolt handle and ejection port on opposite sides, as some of their varmint and target rifles in the past have had ejection ports on the left and bolts on the right. The opposite configuration on this pistol makes for a quick handling compact firearm, with no need to take your firing hand off the grip to work the action. Using the Vortex Crossfire II scout scope, I was easily clanging targets downrange with this fun little gun.

If someone tells me to grab a pistol for a day of hard use, chances are I’m going to grab something made of plastic. While all-steel guns have their benefits, low weight, high capacity, ultra customizable pistols have clearly taken over, and they’ve been king for a while. Contrary to what you read on the ‘Gram, there are still plenty of people carrying and using older designs on the daily, namely the 110-year old 1911. In fact, I personally know a gang officer in the heart of South Central Los Angeles who carries the classic banger. I’m not going to pretend that I think the 1911 is just as relevant as more modern options, but it has a few things going for it. In this article, we’ll be looking at the Springfield Armory 1911 Loaded Marine Corps Operator in God’s caliber, .45 ACP. 

Kalashnikov USA has been busy the past few months developing and releasing variants of their 7.62x39mm KR-103 rifle. Now after many requests from the community, they have finally added the much desired KUSA KR-104 short-barreled rifle for sale. Based on the Russian AK-104 assault rifle, this is a 12.5 inch barreled, 7.62x39mm chambered factory SBR equipped with a left-side folding stock.
