Tripod shooting is something that I’m relatively new to but also something that I see a lot of value in for hunters and precision shooters. Palmetto State Armory released its Sabre line of premium AR-15 rifles a short while back. This past week they added their new Sabre AR-10 available in both forged and billet models with barrel lengths ranging from 13.7in (348mm) to 20in (508mm), featuring Springco upgrades like the gas rings, extractor spring, and ejector spring as well as a Radian Raptor charging handle and Talon selector. Burris Optics has just released its latest riflescope in the form of the new Veracity PH 4-20x50mm FFP riflescope. This new riflescope features Burris’ new Programmable Elevation Knob system which when combined with the Burris Connect app, allows you to change dials for holdovers on the fly and instantly update the optic rather than having to manually adjust the windage and elevation knobs. In addition, the Vercity PH also features an internal HUD that displays important information like rifle cant, angle, battery level, and holdover information.

In today’s podcast, Mike details his experiences as he played his role as a legitimate FFL while moonlighting as an ATF informant during the operation. Mike also details why he eventually decided to do his part to expose this operation which eventually led to the far more infamous Operation Fast and Furious. Edelweiss Arms specializes in importing cool and expensive foreign guns, generally of Swiss origin. They also now import a new production 10-round magazine for the legendary K31 rifle. This is a major upgrade from the standard 6-round magazine historically used in that rifle.

Utah gun manufacturer Christensen Arms is adding more long-action calibers to their Modern Hunting Rifle lineup.  The new lineup features rifles chambered in .300 Win Mag, .300 PRC, 7mm PRC and 7mm Rem Mag.  In addition to the new calibers, there are new color options for this line of rifles.

Stag Arms has a new series of limited edition AR-15s in various colors. The Special Tactical Rifle Makeup ( SPCTRM) incorporates olive drab green, flat dark earth, and gray colorways. These rifles have several other upgraded features besides the color.

Being deep into the 21st century we thought we would be further along than we currently feel today in 2023. A new video collaboration by Slow Mo Guys and Kentucky Ballistics was just released. Scott of Kentucky Ballistics had them shoot a variety of elephant guns but it was the .577 Tyrannosaur that was the focus of the video.

What’s old is new with Griffin Armament’s new GATE-LOK HUB Mount Interface 1.375×24.  The A2 birdcage is often what you’ll find on factory AR-15s, and while some suppressors were built to be mounted on the birdcage now there’s a more versatile way. Griffin is now providing a way for existing HUB suppressor owners to use their legacy A2 muzzle devices with this new adapter.

Smith & Wesson has just announced a new pistol to the M&P series, the M&P 22 Magnum, that boasts a 30-round capacity. The new semi-auto S&W M&P 22 Magnum pistol utilizes a gas operated system, and features an internal hammer, fiber optic front sight, and is optics-ready. This model includes a frame-mounted manual safety which is ambidextrous, along with slide stop controls on both sides of the pistol. Grey Man Tactical’s handy seatback RMP series of vehicle organization grids have just received a new color option in the form of the ever-popular Dark Tan or FDE color scheme. SAAMI (Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers’ Institute) have published cartridge and chamber drawings of a new rimfire cartridge called 21 Sharp which was developed and submitted for SAAMI acceptance by Olin Winchester. While this new cartridge uses a non-heeled projectile, it has a lot of similarities with the 22 Long Rifle. Let’s take a closer look at the design of the new 21 Sharp rimfire cartridge.

In a recent Instagram post, Remington announced that all new Remington 700 rifles will feature Timney triggers. Yes, that’s right, all Model 700 rifles, including the base model. This is exciting news as an aftermarket trigger is one of the most popular upgrades for any bolt action rifle.

Today we found out via our friends over at Zastava Arms USA that the Serbian Government decided that due to the ongoing situation in the area (tensions mounting with neighboring Kosovo), it’s likely they’ll be suspending all arms exports in an effort to make sure that the Serbian military has sufficient arms and ammunition to cater to the needs of the Serbian Armed Forces. At the time of writing, Zastava Arms has not received any official word from the Zastava Arms factory regarding the ban and they are still continuing to receive shipments as usual. With Serbia being home to Zastava Arms, and also being owned by the Serbian Ministry of Defense, Zastava Arms may have no choice but to completely cease all of their US exports to Zastava Arms USA.

Taurus is adding new limited edition color variants of the 856 Ultralite revolver. TFB has looked at some 856 models recently, including the optics-ready 856 TORO and 856 Defender models. But all of those versions were in fairly standard color schemes.

Rhineland Arms and Global Defense made a splash at SHOT 2023 with their R2000 rifle chassis. That kit builds a reduced-scale WA2000 clone with AR-15 internals. A big brother is now in the works, with a .308 Winchester-size version on the way.

I met VK Integrated Systems at the last SHOT Show last January. They make a smart stock, called the SIOS-C, that connects to ATAK. Well, they recently donated two of their prototype firearms, the NGSW-R and NGSW-AR to the Cody Firearms Museum.

Taurus is expanding its line of TH pistols to include a .45 ACP model, the TH45. The TH designation comes from “Taurus Hammer” and this family of guns features an exposed hammer, double action/single action trigger mechanism, and polymer frame. Let’s take a look at its features.

The British Army has announced the selection of the SmartShooter SMASH Smart Weapon Sight Fire Control System for countering drones/UAVs. An initial order for 225 SMASH Smart Weapon Sights has been placed with the contract valued at $4.6 million or $5.8 million.
