Silencer Shop needs little introduction in the NFA space. Since their founding in 2011, they have grown to become America’s largest suppressor distributor. A lot of you will remember a couple of months back Nick C’s ass suffered quite a traumatic range event. Many lessons were learned that day, most notably, not to violate basic range safety rules. The biggest takeaway for me from that day was just the sheer value of simple training. Finnish firearms manufacturer Sako have just released a new family of bolt action rifles called Sako 90 which is apparently the successor of the recently-discontinued Sako 85 line of rifles. Introduced at SHOT Show 2023, the Reap Weaponries Scy bullpup conversion kit for AR-15 pattern rifles is now available. The re-emergence of SIG SAUER‘s P210 handgun has generated a fair amount of buzz over the course of the last few years. Hot on the heels of FN America’s announcement that they will be opening a new, second facility at Liberty, South Carolina, the company has now announced their plans to expand their current site at Columbia. FN America will invest $18 million in the Columbia site to add 40,000 square feet to the site. The expansion will also see an extra 100 jobs added at the facility that already employs more than 600 people.

I met up with the guys at Rifle Dynamics to help film some of their guns in slow motion. They wanted some engineering studies done to better understand their products and needed a slow-motion camera. One of the guns they wanted to look at more closely was their Sturmgewehr 44. In this SlowMo STG44 study we can see gun has a few problems.

Especially when beginning your journey into firearms, finding a holster that can serve double duty is valuable. Many of my students are new to firearms and are planning to carry concealed. How’d you like to own a FAMAS? Me neither.
