Despite the ongoing war or maybe because of it, the Ukrainian KPYK keeps releasing new firearm accessories at an impressive frequency. Earlier we reviewed their CRC 1U004 handguard and CRC 5002 stock designed for AKM/AK-74 pattern rifles. The company recently introduced the versions of these products designed for Kalashnikov’s light machine gun, RPK/RPK74. Let’s take a quick look at the specs and features of these new KPYK RPK parts.

I don’t know if I’m a traditionalist or a Luddite, but the smartwatch trend missed me. However, my wife and almost everyone I know have one. The Apple Watch is by far one of the most popular. Apple is known for its signature slick and clean aesthetic, but that can sometimes leave something to be desired. Brownells continues to expand its BRN-180 offerings with the addition of new barrel lengths. Those new models have either a 14.5 or 13.9-inch barrel. This is excellent news for people who like pinned and welded muzzle devices.

BLK LBL handguards with integrated bipods are really cool upgrade parts allowing you to have a bipod that when stowed completely disappears into the handguard. The company started by offering their bipod handguards for AR-pattern rifles and bolt guns. Later, they ventured into the bullpup market and designed handguards with integrated bipods for the Desert Tech MDR family of rifles. Well, BLK LBL keeps exploring the bullpup territory and has introduced a version of their bipod-integrated handguard for the IWI Tavor X95 rifles. We’re back again at another Brutality match but this time, in the far away country of Finland. Although the Finnish and American Brutality matches share the same origins, I personally believe that Finnish Brutality is much more difficult from the standpoint of pure physicality – which makes it way more fun. The Indian branch of Webley & Scott have just announced a new pistol for the Indian firearm market, the WP20 Fox Pistol, which is chambered in .32 ACP. In 2020, Webley began setting up shop and producing their iconic MKIV revolver as part of the Made In India initiative. The new Webley Fox Pistol, also known as the WP20 is actually a very close CZ83 clone that features a different slide profile. Webley India’s product announcement can be read below.

Alchemy Custom Weaponry, a division of Cabot Guns, have released the shorter Commander-length version of their Quantico HiCap 2011-style 9mm pistol. Other than the slide and barrel length (4.25″ vs 5″), the Quantico HiCap Carry is identical to its full-size sibling. Let’s take a closer look.

If you own a Steyr AUG and want your 55 gr 5.56 mm rounds to fly out with speeds upwards of one thousand meters per second (3280 fps), then turn to Steyr Arms USA as they now have the 24″ HBAR barrel available again. The price for the 24″ HBAR with Bipod is $725. Preferably pair it with the 42-round waffle magazine you most likely already own. Just beware that the barrel is not free-floating, so don’t put a lot of pressure on the bipod.

JDI Firearms is the sole US importer of SIG SG55x firearms, including models like the SG550 and SG553. In addition to SIG, JDI imports high-end brands like PGM Precision and Wyssen Defence. JDI Firearms announced in an Instagram post that CSR Precision is the latest brand to join their lineup.

Vang Comp is renowned for its custom shotguns and the Vang Comp System, which provides reduced recoil and tighter patterns. Bravo Company Manufacturing, aka BCM, has a whole new spin on Picatinny rail mounts. The new Angled Torque Mounts do away with the traditional cross-bolt and replace it with an angled screw that pulls against the underside of the rail. BCM claims that this new system offers “unprecedented zero retention.”

Here is an interesting solution to timing muzzle devices. No more shims or crush washers. Forward Controls has an alternate solution called the NVTS (Nautilus Variable Timing System).

EOTECH just announced a new Optics Planet exclusive HWS with a new reticle. The DCR or Danger Close Reticle is a modified EOTECH HWS reticle and comes in the EOTECH OPMOD EXPS2-DCR.

It was less than 2 weeks ago that we reported on Optics Planet and Viridian Weapon Technologies teaming up to produce some 30mm mounts for sporting rifles (AR-15s, AK-47s, etc) through their OPMOD series of products. Now, these two manufacturers are back at it again with another collab for some lights and laser beams – Omega Universal Lights and Green Lasers.

The 30 Super Carry cartridge is one that our own James Reeves of TFBTV has raved about since its inception and now Federal Premium has an additional option for concealed carry advocates in Punch 30 Super Carry with a 103-grain personal defense hollow point. Whether you are a hunter, competition shooter, or range enthusiast, there are a couple optics that we all need to be as effective as possible (not including the optics on our firearms). A pair of binoculars can save you lengthy walks to check your targets and a laser rangefinder can verify the distance you are engaging. SIG Sauer has been pumping out binoculars like Skittles at a candy factory lately. It was only days ago that they announced their more expensive ZULU10 HDX and ZULU8 HDX binoculars which push $2,000 in price. So, it is natural that they should have a more affordable option as well. That is where the Zulu Canyon HD 10x42mm binos come in.

B&T USA have announced a limited run of APC9K SD2, a scalably suppressed APC9K which was offered to the US Army’s Sub Compact Weapon program. Back in April 2019, B&T won the new Sub Compact Weapon contract in competition with five other companies. The conventional APC9K was selected and B&T were awarded an initial order for 350 guns. Since then the USAF has also procured a number of the SCWs.

Federal Ammunition introduced the FireStick muzzleloading ammunition system at SHOT Show 2020. In firearms utilizing this technology, the projectile is still loaded down the muzzle but the propellant is sealed in a shotshell-like polymer capsule which is loaded through the breech end of the barrel and is primed with a 209 shotgun primer. CVA have just announced the release of their new Crossfire break action muzzleloading rifle that uses the FireStick system. Sven of Manticore Arms announced they were working on a new safety selector for the Springfield Hellion. The Manticore Hellion Enhanced Safety System changes the geometry of the safety selector for a more ergonomic throw more akin to an AR-15.
