Texas Weapon Systems, a company specializing in designing and manufacturing upgrade parts for the AK family of firearms, came up with a new AK stock called Sledge. We are in the middle of many waterfowl seasons throughout the US so Federal Premium has perfect timing to announce that they are expanding out their Black Cloud line of ammunition to include 28 Gauge. These Black Cloud 28 Gauge loads will come in 3″ shells with a ¾ Ounce payload of #3 or #4 shot.

Georgia-based Heritage Manufacturing have announced a new series of .22LR lever-action rifles – the Settler family. The range includes the ‘Settler’ full-length 20-inch barrel rifle (which has a 15-round tube magazine), a ‘Compact’ rifle with a 16.5-inch barrel (and a tube magazine that holds 13 rounds) and the ‘Settler Mares Leg’ which has a 12.5-inch barrel and a 10 round magazine.

Texas-based Radical Defense have announced their General Purpose Suppressor (GPS). The 3D-printed can is full-auto rated and weighs in at 23.5oz. The can is designed for calibres ranging from 7.62 to 8.6mm and is made from Haynes 282, a nickel-based alloy. MSRP on the GPS is $1499.

Taurus is entering its own new pistol into the high-capacity micro-compact category of pistols – the GX4 Carry. Unlike the GX4 and GX4 XL before it, the new GX4 Carry features a new 15-round standard capacity magazine, new Teflon-coated operation control parts, and a new dust cover 1913 rail for mounting lights and laser.

Caldwell Shooting Supplies recently introduced their new Caldwell Flash Bang hit indicator that combines with steel targets to provide a visual aid when the target is struck. The Caldwell Flash Bang attaches via hook and loop fasteners to the back of steel targets larger than five inches. The Flash Bang is attached with the LED light strip hanging off the edge of the target, and once the target is hit by a bullet, the LEDs light up to provide the shooter instant visual feedback as to the hit.

XS Sights has announced new offerings for SIG, FN, and Springfield pistols needing a new set of standard or suppressor height night sights. XS Sights’ second generation R3D 2.0 night sights, as well as their new Minimalist tritium sights, are now available for the FN 509, Springfield Hellcat, and XD series, as well as the entire lineup of SIG Sauer pistols including some of the older DA/SA models.

Gentex (Ops-Core’s Parent Company) has introduced an update to the FAST Bump Helmet. The most notable change is the removal of the molded shroud that was originally designed to accommodate airborne operations. Instead, it now features the same Lightweight Modular Bungee Shroud found on other helmets in the range. Additionally, the updated FAST Bump Helmet is equipped with PowerPath ARC Rails, allowing users to route cables behind the rail system, ensuring they are kept out of the way during use. These improvements enhance the versatility and functionality of the helmet for a wider range of users and operational needs. No weights have been given at this time and it will be interesting to see if these new helmets are lighter or heavier than the older models.

Steiner have announced the release of an FDE version of their popular MPS (Micro Pistol Sight) pistol red dot optic. The MPS has a 3.3 MOA reticle, eight brightness settings and a 13,000-hour battery life. It has various mounting options, weighs 2.05 oz and is powered by a CR1632 battery. The FDE model is available with an MSRP of $689.99.

Angled Spade Technologies (AST) is excited to announce what they think will solve one of the industry’s most hot-button issues surrounding the SIG Sauer P320 platform. The new AST Fire Control Upgrade Kit is an aftermarket solution that allows for direct mechanical control of the sear without altering the look or feel of the P320 platform. The intent with this product, according to one of their engineers is to increase the overall safety of the P320 platform.

Swampfox Optics have announced their first first focal plane (FFP) low power variable optic (LPVO) – the Warhorse 1-6x. It has a 34mm tube diameter, a 24mm objective lens and is available with either a Dragoon MOA or a MIL glass-etched illuminated reticle in either red or green. Swampfox attest to the Warhorse’s robustness stating the optic can withstand 1,100 g-forces and be can be fully submerged in water. The optic is available with an MSRP of $639.

HUXWRX Safety Company, formerly known as OSS Suppressors, has earned every right to say ‘I told you so’ to a large swath of the suppressor industry. While they may not have been the first, HUXWRX has been the champion of reduced back pressure technology via their trademarked Flow-Through system. One of the aspects of the design that may have been holding back some potential customers has just changed with the addition of the VENTUM 762 rifle suppressor that is compatible with universal 1.375×24 mounting devices. Shooters who want HUXWRX tech paired with their preferred muzzle devices now have a HUB-outfitted rifle suppressor ready to go out of the box.

San Tan Tactical have announced that they will be moving to Fort Worth, Texas in a move aimed at lowering costs and growing the company with a larger, more efficient facility. The move will see the company relocate from Chandler, Arizona. San Tan Tactical offer a range of ambidextrous AR-pattern rifles and pistols across their STT-15 and 6ARC series as well as a variety of parts.

Saab have been awarded a fresh order for AT4 anti-armor systems and ammunition for the Carl Gustaf Multi-purpose Anti-armor Anti-personnel Weapon System (MAAWS) worth $105 million. These systems will be utilised by the US Army, US Special Operations Command and the US Marine Corps. Building on earlier orders as part of an ‘indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity’ contract originally awarded in 2019, the latest order is for the AT4 Confined Space, Reduced Sensitivity variant of the AT4.

I saw this video shared in a Facebook group and I had to try it myself. It is a PMAG unload hack that allows you to empty your PMAG quickly without shooting the rounds or manually removing each round.

Lately, there has been a slew of aftermarket support for the SCAR 17S platform. I have documented some of Imperial Arms Co.’s Cypher X and accessories.
