Last year B&T won the new Sub Compact Weapon contract in competition with five other companies, with an initial order for 350 APC9K semi-automatic carbines. The  United States Air Force is the next service to add the B&T APC9K to its list of firearms. They have ordered 65 pieces of 9×19 mm carbines with magazines and associated spare parts from B&T USA in Tampa, Florida. It’s not known which configuration the APC9 will be in, but supposedly the APC9K PRO version.

Some consider the B&T APC9 to be the “Swiss watch” of pistol caliber carbines. As you may remember, the U.S. Army selected the B&T APC9 K as their New Sub Compact Weapon last year, with an initial order of 350 firearms. B&T USA have now made a limited run to commemorate the contract, which includes complete serialized cases. 333 of these are available exclusively to US-based collectors.

The Swiss company B&T has developed a new family of modular and hybrid semi-automatic carbines. Their name is SPC9 and they are chambered in  9×19 mm. To best describe it, you could say that it combines a B&T APC9 with a Heckler & Koch MP5 and an AR15. On top of that, various models also accepts either Glock or SIG magazines.

Carrying a concealed firearm is fairly basic in the grand scheme of things. Essentially you carry a firearm on your body and go amongst your day. It’s an extremely simple concept but the definition is slowly changing with newer generations looking for other ways of carrying firearms. Having a small but capable weapon in a bag or vehicle can be a huge advantage in certain situations. It’s becoming more common amongst younger concealed carriers and with that is a growing market of discreet carry bags and accessories to help people carry what they consider important. Over the last four or five years, I have tried carrying larger PDW style firearms for the sake of science and throughout my time testing, I have noticed a few trends among people just starting out to carry a firearm. Let’s dive into some of the good and bad of carrying PDW style weapons.

B&T, Inc has just announced that the Miami Beach Police Department has purchased some of their APC9K PRO submachine guns. The APC9 has been in service with various law enforcement agencies across the world including its country of origin, Switzerland. However, the Miami Beach Police Department will be the first agency to purchase the SIG P320 magazine compatible version.

The innovative company from Switzerland,  B&T, continue their success with chassis for various handguns. Previously they released the B&T USW-G17 Conversion kit for the Glock 17s & 19s. B&T also have chassis for the Glock 40/20/21, Walther PPQ and the SIG P320. The aim for B&T this time are handguns from the Czech Republic, namely the CZ P-10F and the P-10 C.

In the precision rifle world, B&T industries is well known for their top quality bipods, monopod and rail accessories.  Starting with their monopod and moving to their V8 series then the PSR (to meet the needs of the similarly named USSOCOM rifle project) more recently the Cal and now the SUPER Cal B&T are not ones to rest on their laurels. 

I had a chance to stop by the B&T booth for Industry Day at the Range to see their newest addition to the sub-gun Market. Now in what some argue is the “best millimeter” the B&T APC10 made its way into the B&T booth where I was able to get some trigger time behind this new sub-gun. I spoke to some of the team from B&T to glean a little more information about how this new addition to their line of sub-guns came to fruition just in time for SHOT Show 2020.

In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves talks about B&T’s newest Glock-mag fed submachinegun/pistol caliber carbine – the APC in 10mm. The APC is now famous as the first submachinegun ordered by the US Army since World War 2.
