New B&T GHM9 Redesign Mockup Leaked By French Website?
I know what you are thinking – when did this become the B&T Firearm Blog? It seems like every week we have some snippet of news from the Swiss manufacturer. Can I help it if I am a little infatuated with B&T polymer and steel? This week, we bring you a possible second generation of the GHM9 – a pistol caliber “pistol” with a few refined features.
B&T USW A1 Approved For Import Into The US
B&T USA has announced that the USW A1 is now blessed by the ATF for importation and sale in the United States. The tedious compliance process, required of all firearms entering US commerce, can take up to six months and includes a physical inspection of at least one sample firearm that is destroyed after the testing is concluded. That is probably the saddest part of this whole process.
'Real Deal' B&T APC9SD In The Wild
If you’ve been reading my posts for any length of time (bless you) you may get the idea that I am becoming a bit of an B&T fanboy. Well, you’re not far off. There is something about the smooth cuts, parallel lines and precision machining that make me long for every gun B&T will import into the U.S. And I recently started my Swiss-made journey with an APC9 pistol – a TFB review is in process,
BREAKING: Heckler & Koch HK237 and HK337 in .300 Blackout / Whisper, RUAG producing ammunition
BREAKING NEWS from Nürnberg, Germany: H&K is manufacturing rifles chambered in .300 Blackout / Whisper. The doors to the Enforce Tac expo literally just opened minutes ago (at time of writing) and as we walked in we were surprised to see the new HK237 and HK337 chambered in .300 AAC Blackout / .300 Whisper. The new HK carbines are displayed together with new .300 BLK ammunition manufactured by RUAG.
Extra B&T Goodness From SHOT
So I had all these extra B&T pictures from SHOT and I figured, why let them go to waste. There has to be someone out there who would be interested in seeing the (almost) complete lineup. Two weeks ago I published some of my favorite Swiss pieces, but today I’ll share the rest. After all, the majority of US gun shops don’t stock B&T gear – this is a semi-rare chance to look at some fine machinery.
[SHOT 17] B&T To Attend Range Day With The New Aimpoint Nano And Their USW
Last year we broke the brand new B&T Universal Service Weapon and the corresponding Aimpoint mini red dot sight that is being made just for the new USW. I am excited to see what the shooting experience is like as well as ask them if they have any plans to introduce the USW to the American market (pretty please?) as a pistol variant. The idea of being able to buy a new production Sphinx 3000 with an AIMPOINT mini red dot attached makes me drool a bit.
POTD: B&T TP9
The TP9 is rather infamous in Hollywood. I see it pop up quite often in TV shows and movies as a bad guy gun. It was originally designed by Steyr in the late 80s as the TMP but the design was sold to B&T in 2001 and turned into the MP9. The TP9 is the civilian version. It looks like a European version of a Mac 11. I can’t imagine shooting this like a handgun would be very effective. However with a vertical grip and stock, as it was intended, would be much more stable and usable. The photo is by @atlanticfirearms.
MIC DROP: B&T Releases The APC223
In yet another move to infiltrate the United States and spread awesomeness through the land, B&T has just announced that the first shipment of APC223 rifles pistols has arrived. Of course, they are all sold out to dealers across the country, but fear not, a new shipment is on the way.
