There’s a new B&T firearm just released on the Swiss B&T website, literally minutes ago.

B&T have announced that their Universal Service Weapon pistol carbine has been used during the Dutch Korps Mariniers (Royal Dutch Marines) annual shooting competition with friendly NATO forces.

Let me start off by saying that this subjective list of TFB’s ‘Top 5’ best guns from 2017 is not rooted in scientific study nor is it the result of massive data crunching of user polls. The below guns were picked by general popularity, page views, innovative designs and overall accessibility. Point being, there were a lot of awesome firearms released this year and these are only a few of them.

At long last, we have reached the last day in TFB’s 12 Days of Christmas – long guns. Originally, I had marked today as being dedicated to rifles. However, after compiling my list, I decided that I needed to open the category up to include firearms that are legally defined as pistols, but with a pistol stabilizing brace act more like rifles. ‘Tis the season for outdated laws and regulations!

Coming off the heels of their latest release of binary trigger for H&K guns, Franklin Armory has sneakily announced a new model for the B&T APC9. Set to be released around the 2018 SHOT Show, most of the details, pricing and other information has yet to be made public.

It seems that every time we start taking about unique, interesting and useful firearms in the U.S., we are also forced to discuss the irritating, irrational and unnecessary legal pitfalls that surround gun ownership. The two most referenced laws, 18 U.S.C. 922r and the National Firearms Act (NFA), can also be the most complicated to understand. It is these laws that prevent the importation of foreign made guns in their natural form. Today, we’ll discuss the Swiss-made B&T TP9 and the efforts to restore this unique personal defense weapon (PDW)/pistol to near its original form.

Beretta have unveiled the new successor to their iconic  Modello 12 submachine gun. The new 9x19mm PMX was unveiled at the 2017 Paris Milipol expo.

A few days ago The Firearm Blog told you about the new FN Herstal SCAR-SC, a Subcompact Carbine with a 7,5″ barrel chambered in 5,56 NATO.

On the 11 October the  Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) announced the selection of Heckler & Koch’s KH416A7 for Germany’s Special Forces.

Welcome back to this week’s edition of ‘B&T Spotlight’. My name is Pete and I will be your host for the next three to four minutes. Seriously though, if it seems like we spend an uneven amount of time talking about this Swiss firearms manufacture here at TFB, it is for a few pretty good reasons. First being that B&T designs and builds excellent weapons. Second is that their project timelines for certain platforms is pretty quick. And lastly, unlike many manufacturers from other countries, B&T invests the time and resources it takes to import guns into the United States. In this case, it appears that the APC308 PDW and APC556 PDW will eventually be crossing the pond in pistol form.

Every other year the Swedish company Aimpoint invites Police officers and Military soldiers from multiple countries to demonstrate their products. The location is the military shooting range in Ravlunda close to Malmoe in the Southern part of Sweden.

We have featured the B&T TP9 as TFB’s ‘Photo Of The Day’ in the past, but not in the form of near complete signature reduction and light and laser glory. This TP9 is in full stealth mode.

C.G. Haenel from Suhl in Germany have released a short video about the RS8 and RS9 sniper rifles, called “The Impact of Precision“.

The decision to purchase a B&T APC9 was not taken lightly. It is priced at nearly triple the cost of the CZ Scorpion and equal to that of some of the more popular MP5 builds offered to the U.S. market. And yet, for some magical reason I was drawn to the Swiss import pistol caliber carbine (pistol). Besides being unique and having a super sexy silhouette, the APC9 comes ready to suppress with a three lug contoured barrel.
