Almost one month ago TFB, together with the blog Cornucopia, were the first to report that the Swedish SOG and Special Police Units were to get rifles from LWRCI.

This is the first time I have ever seen a Alpine Green B&T.

The Spectre M4 SMG is an Italian made gun. It was developed by a company called SITES in the 1980s. It has a quad stack magazine of 9mm with 30 or 50 round capacity depending on the magazine. It has a over folder stock that looks similar to the underfolder on a Sterling MK4.

There are several independent rumors that LWRC International LLC (USA) has a contract with some of the Swedish Police Units called Reinforced Regional Task Force (Piketen), and most likely other military (SOG) and police units, to replace their aging and somewhat problematic HK 53.

As I (im)patiently wait for ATF approval of my TPM Outfitters MP5-SD, I am already on the hunt for accessories and upgrades. I’m pretty familiar with the standard H&K collapsible stock, but that doesn’t mean it’s the best option out there. B&T has introduced a folding stock that is adjustable to four different lengths. The cheek weld options look promising, especially when you consider the optional riser that is available.

Brügger and Thomet is on a roll: a couple of weeks ago we got a sneak peak at a pre-production APC308 and now we are seeing the first KH9-A1’s to arrive here in the US. Minh at  The Hardpoint/HiCaliberMfg an FFL/SOT in Ashland, Virginia was nice enough to share pictures of one of the two Swiss-made pistols that they received from B&T. Only 400 total KH9’s will be imported and available for purchase by American shooters and the MSRP is currently set at $2,250.

The good people at G&R Tactical just released a few pictures and details on the yet-to-be-announced Brugger and Thommet (B&T) APC308 rifle. On initial inspection, the APC308 seems to be a mirror image of the APC556/APC223 rifle, except for the .308 chambering.

B&T from Switzerland is a relatively small but highly innovative company.

There’s a new word out there.  I’m sure T-shirts, stickers and morale patches are being produced as you read this.

It seems that everyone is clamoring for more information about the new B&T Universal Service Weapon project where they collaborated with the Swedish firm Aimpoint. Early this morning TFB came across some new information about the two projects and verified it with sources within both companies.

TFB has obtained an exclusive look at the new B&T Universal Service Weapon in 9mm that is going to accompany the Aimpoint Nano sight release later today. The USW is being billed as a duty weapon that will be able to stand in for a pistol caliber carbine when needed for police and military.

TFB has learned that the Swiss company B&T will be introducing an exclusive new mini red dot sight from Aimpoint tomorrow called the Nano at a police firearms meeting along with their brand new duty weapon, the B&T Universal Service Weapon. We are going to follow up with some exclusive content in a separate post on the USW later today.

My friend Meng took this picture at the DSA (Defense Services Asia) show in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. DSA is sort of like Shot Show but for military and LE only. We posted an article about it back in 2014. the VP9 is a modern version of the Welrod. However the VP9 can be broken down into three components: the silencer, receiver and magazine grip. The VP9 uses a magazine but it is basically a bolt action pistol. By not having any reciprocating parts, it is very quiet.

Swiss company B&T is only a small to medium sized company, but with big ears and very short distance from demand to R&D to production and delivery. Don’t ask why Heckler & Koch springs to mind as something being the total opposite.
