Canik METE MC9 – New Micro Compact Pistol From Canik USA

Canik USA recently unveiled their new micro-compact pistol, the Canik METE MC9, which makes it the smallest gun in the Canik lineup. The new Canik METE MC9 is slightly smaller compared to the sub-compact, the TP9 Elite SC, with the MC9’s 3.18-inch barrel, 1.12-inch width, and a reduced overall profile. The MC9 comes with both a 12-round and 15-round magazine, which are compatible with the SC mags. The Canik METE MC9 also features an ambidextrous slide stop, and is optics-ready with a Shield footprint.

[SHOT 2023] Matador Arms MAT-9 Blowback Upper Receiver

Matador Arms brought to SHOT Show 2023 their new MAT-9 blowback 9mm upper receiver assembly which is the improved version of the earlier released  Montgo-9. Compared to the Montgo-9, MAT-9 has a longer barrel (7.825” vs 5.5″) and forearm yet at an overall weight of 3 lbs, it’s lighter than the Montgo-9 by about 3 oz.

[SHOT 2023] Mean Arms Bearing Delayed 9mm Carbine

At SHOT 2023’s Industry Day at the Range, Mean Arms unveiled their new Bearing Delayed 9mm carbine.  This new design uses their existing endomags in conjunction with a standard pattern AR-15 lower.  A set of three ball bearings (rather than rollers) are used in order to create a more tuneable delayed blowback firearm.  I had the opportunity to shoot the carbine and speak with Mean Arms about this radically new design.

Canik Announces SFx Rival-S Steel-Framed Pistol

The existing catalog of Canik handguns currently spans nearly two dozen models between their Signature, Rival, Mete, and TP9 series. These guns differ in a variety of details from finishes to features, and range in price from MSRPs starting at $379.99 to $899.99. A new model now sits atop the high end of this range, with the recent announcement of the company’s two new SFx Rival-S variants. Meet Patriot Ordnance Factory's Tombstone, a 9mm Mag-Fed Lever-Action

TFB Review: The B&T TP9

When it comes to owning certain firearms, there seems to always be a couple bucket list guns out there for everyone. Movies and pop culture certainly influenced my love of firearms over the years and the TP9 was certainly one of them. Whether it’s paragliding pilots carrying a Steyr TMP shooting at Pierce Brosnan or Robert De Niro being shot at by a bad guy in the drive in movie theater with a TMP in the classic movie Heat, this little submachine gun was always such a cool concept and it was always a goal to own one.
