Springfield Armory has released pre-cut, optics-ready slide kits for the XD series of handguns. This makes it a breeze to add a red dot sight to your gun, without having to ship it off to a machine shop. How does XD optics-ready slide kit hold up in practice?

The Springfield Armory Hellcat is one of the most popular high-capacity micro 9mm pistols on the market. It is already available in several versions, including “OSP” optics-ready versions and Flat Dark Earth models. New two-tone models will soon be available for those wanting a different look.

Canik USA recently unveiled a new line within the METE series of pistols, the Canik METE Pro, which has a few additional features over the standard line. The new Canik METE Pro series will feature aggressive slide serrations, a fluted and threaded stainless steel barrel, a front night sight, and a 90-degree trigger profile. The SFx METE Pro is distinguishable by its longer slide and barrel, which measures 5.74 inches, while the SFT METE Pro has a slightly shorter slide with a 5-inch barrel, and both METE Pro’s slides have a noticeable, styled notch just aft of the muzzle. 9mm pistol caliber carbines are becoming extremely popular in today’s firearm market. There are already a lot of options for you to choose from like the Heckler & Koch MP5, CZ Scorpion Evo III, SIG Sauer MPX, and more. Today the market is receiving yet another AR-9 style pistol caliber carbine with the introduction of Maxim Defense’s new MD-9 PCC.

In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves is at Thunder Ranch to test the new Angstadt MDP-9. The MDP-9 is a bit like an H&K MP5 crossed with an AR-15: it uses the soft, roller-delayed blowback system of the MP5 and a tri-lug mounting system, but all of the controls and even many of the parts of the AR-9 and AR-15. Welcome to TFB’s 136th edition of Wheelgun Wednesday, where we explore all things related to revolvers. Last year, I began to explore which pistols police are currently issued around the world, a series I need to get back to. However, during that research for the first article in that series, I learned of the Carabineros of Chile who are issued Taurus Model 82 revolvers in .38 Special, and if there’s one country, perhaps there’s more. The South Korean National Police Agency (KNPA or KNP) is probably one of the most well-known countries to currently issue revolvers, albeit in smaller numbers than some would expect.
