TFB Podcast Roundup 37: Episodes for Armed Citizens

Welcome to TFB Podcast Roundup 37! “Sun’s out Guns out” as they say but maybe not as much as you’d expect if you’re a concealed carrier. Concealed carry is probably always going to be a hot topic as more and more gun owners adopt the practice and spread it to others. This week I’ve gathered up a handful of podcasts focusing on armed citizens and what kind of issues they’re facing both at home and abroad. As always we’ve thrown in last week’s episode of TFB’s very own podcast and this time we’re featuring YouTube celebrity and famed trick shooter 22Plinkster. If you’re looking for something to break the silence as you start your spring cleaning or just need someone to listen to on your way to or from work, then tune in and have a listen to TFB Podcast Roundup 37.

TFB B-Side Podcast: Talking Rimfire with 22Plinkster

This is an episode of the TFB podcast I have been hoping for and looking forward to recording for a very long time. 22Plinkster is one of my favorite guntube channels on YouTube and if you’re a fan of rimfire or trick shooting, you’re probably also a fan. That is why today I’m pleased and proud to have Dave (22Plnkster) on the show to talk about everything rimfire. Today, Dave and I talk a bit about his YouTube channel, what got him into shooting at first, what guns he likes, his thoughts on the recent release of the SIG Sauer P322 22LR pistol, and of course some good ole redneck conversation about hunting and such. Please welcome 22Plinkster to our show and happy listening!

TFB Podcast Roundup 36: Podcasts for Sport Shooters

Hello and welcome to TFB Podcast Roundup 36! Sport shooting is a criminally underrated activity and I really wish more people would get into it. That being said, I don’t really blame a lot of people for either not wanting to gear up to do it or not having the nerves to go to their first match. However, what I can say is that by not trying it at all you’re really doing yourself a huge disservice even if you never plan on continuing in the sport down the road. Today I’ve gathered a handful of recent episodes from some of my favorite sports shooting or competition shooting podcasts so that those of you who are interested or already into shooting sports can glean knowledge and listen to discussions on the topic from the comfort of your own home or car.

Eusebio.

TFB Podcast Roundup 33: Learning from the Pros

Welcome to TFB Podcast Roundup 33! The year 2022 is shaping up to be one of the most interesting years in recent history and while we don’t like to talk politics here at TFB, we do understand that the world of politics does have a huge impact upon the firearms world and we also like to personally keep close tabs on happenings around the world. A huge reason I listen to podcasts and also like to host people on podcasts is that almost every episode I listen to turns into a learning experience. Whether I’m listening to something about 3 gunning, precision rifle shooting, concealed carry methods, or just listening to other people’s hot takes on new gear and weapons, I always find that I come away from these podcasts with a more well-rounded understanding of whatever subject it was about. Since there are a lot of hot current events topics, I’ve included a few episodes that touch on those events as well as a few other episodes with the rest of your everyday gun stuff. Happy listening everyone!

Welcome to TFB Podcast Roundup 32. If you couldn’t tell from the title, this one is going to be all about suppressors. Over the years we’ve seen a sharp increase in the number of firearms owners who are opting in to the NFA game – mostly because they want suppressors. Whether you call them suppressors, silencers, cans, quiet tubes, or mute sticks they all pretty much do the same thing – make your guns quieter. Today we’ve gathered up some of the best TFB Behind the Gun Podcast episodes to give all of you suppressor junkies, and those who don’t know you’re suppressor junkies yet, some curated listening to scratch that NFA itch.

TFB Behind The Gun Podcast #35: Chris and Andrew from YHM

SHOT Show 2022 was a blast for the TFB crew and for many of us, it’s not so much the guns and gear that we are excited to see but instead the relationships that we’ve built throughout the years at these types of shows. YHM has sponsored the TFB’s Silencer Saturday for a number of years so we are more than happy to bring them on this episode of the TFB Behind the Gun Podcast. Suppressors have taken a more central focus within the firearms community over the last half-decade or so and as a result, more and more people are either seriously considering or taking the leap into fabled NFA territory. Today Pete, Chris, and Andrew talk a bit about the suppressor industry, how things have been for the last couple of years, and of course, where YHM would like to find itself down the road in terms of business.

While Giorgio is nowhere near that old, he is very familiar with Italian firearms law and culture because that is where he was born and raised. Today Giorgio and I talk about some of his experience and knowledge surrounding the Italian firearms world as well as some of his thoughts on what the future of Italian firearms culture and law will look like in the years to come. TFB B-Side Podcast: Joe Potter with Mischief Machine

Many of you will know Mischief Machine from either TFB or TFBTV. We’ve posted about Mischief Machine’s products before and Mischief Machine even sent in a couple samples of their 3D printed EDC pocket flashlight mounts to TFBTV mailroom for James to try out. What many of you probably don’t know though is that Mischief Machine is really just one man with a dream, a lot of drive, and probably zero sleep. Joe Potter is the sole owner and operator of Mischief Machine and has grown his company substantially since 2017 when he started making 3D printed parts for scopes and optics. Joe is an impressive example of an American entrepreneur making great products purely out of the desire to have something one wants for themselves, and then turning that idea into something other people can buy. Today on the TFB B-Side podcast I talk with Joe about his recently released Alpha Series P365 grip module as well as a couple of his other projects he’s done and a teaser of an upcoming product that will debut just before SHOT Show 2022.

TFB B-Side Podcast: Swedish Gun Law & Culture with Hagge Banke

Sweden is a lot more than meets the eye. While some of you may think of Ikea and their famous meatballs upon first hearing the country’s name, others think of names like Carl Gustaf, VO Vapen, and Husqvarna to name a few. While Sweden has seen its fair share of firearms pass through and out of its borders, many still wonder what exactly goes on in the small firearms community that Sweden does have. Today I’ve brought on guest Hagge Bänke who is a massive firearms enthusiast. Hagge owns and collects all sorts of firearms in his home country of Sweden including all types of bolt-actions, MP5 submachine guns, and even a couple of soviet weapons he’s gotten his hands on throughout the years. Hagge is also the owner and operator of his own gun club and also happens to be somewhat of an expert on Swedish firearms law since he has had to go toe to toe with various authorities within Sweden to get some of his licenses. Like any good Scandinavian, Hagge believes “the gun is good” as per his god’s wishes.

TFB Podcast Roundup 23: Some Long-Range Accuracy Listening

Welcome to TFB Podcast Roundup 23. Long-range shooting has become one of my favorite styles recently and while it has certainly put a strain on my checkbook in terms of gear and equipment, I think the number of practical lessons those sports can teach you translates really well to other types of shooting disciplines. These podcasts will cover everything from hunting tips, wind calls, tips for F-class competitors and I’ve also thrown in an episode of our home-brewed podcast, the TFB B-Side Podcast, where I talk to the designer/inventor of the 11/22 OpenTop Receiver Sebastian Unger who is a fellow rimfire junkie as well as a precision addict. TFB B-Side Podcast: A Conversation with an Austrian Firearms Enthusiast

The rich history of Austrian firearms development goes back well before the 20th century. Being the 14th most armed country in the world, Austria is responsible for bringing us some of the most popular firearms for both military and civilian use with offerings like the Steyr AUG, and Glock pistols. While it may not seem like it, Austria does have a surprisingly small but dedicated group of firearms owners who own and shoot guns for self-defense, hunting, and of course fun! Today I speak with Sebastian Unger who is the brains behind the OpenTop 11/22 now produced by Fletcher Rifle Works here in the USA. Sebastian spent many years developing this innovative product and it is somewhat of a homegrown product here at TFB as many of you readers have given Sebastian feedback over the years which has helped him refine the concept to make it something truly unique and useful for many people. Today on the TFB B-Side Podcast, Sebastian and I talk a bit about the 11/22 receiver as well as his experience with firearms in his home country of Austria.
