Fierce Firearms have released a new 45-caliber bolt action muzzleloading rifle called  Carbon MZ PRO which is an improved version of their previous muzzleloaders. In bolt action muzzleloaders, the ignition element of the system (in this case Arrowhead GEN 2 LRMP ignition module) is inserted and removed via a turn bolt action but the propellant and projectile are loaded into the barrel through the muzzle. Hello and welcome back to another edition of The Rimfire Report! This ongoing series is all about the rimfire firearm world and its many types of guns, gear, shooting sports, and ammunition types! Last week we talked about a recent upgrade that was released for the KelTec P17 pistol. The new optics-ready slide is a cool addition to the pistol’s capabilities but I’m still debating on whether or not it’s a solid recommendation from me as it puts the pistol on the same price scale as the much more reliable and durable SIG P322 or even the classic Ruger Mark IV Lite. If the price were a bit lower for the entire package, I’d say it would be 100% worth picking up – so maybe wait for a sale or something because it’s certainly a lot of fun for a compact lightweight 22LR pistol. Today we’re going to combine the rimfire world with the world of clone builds. As you might have guessed from the title, today we’re talking about the DPMS Model RFA2-KIT or “Kitty Kat.” This pint-sized AR was originally intended to be used by SWAT entry teams which explains the ridiculously short 7″ barrel – even if you’re losing a lot of velocities, 5.56 has more than enough speed left to cause some serious damage at ranges you’d typically encounter baddies at indoors. However, if you’ve built one of these, you know you’re not training to use it for a planned entry – you’re probably mag-dumping it like the rest of us – and that’s expensive. Today we’re going to go over some of my recent experiences combining both Hop’s clone of the DPMS Kitty Kat, as well as CCMG’s latest iteration of their BRAVO 22LR conversion kit – this winning combination makes playing around with the Kitty Kat just a tad bit less expensive, and a whole lot more fun.

Debuting less than a year after its 5.56mm bore cousin, the HUXWRX FLOW 762 Ti is 3D printed (metal laser sintering) from titanium powder and weighs in at less than 12 ounces. Unique internal geometries, only possible through the use of additive manufacturing process, create pathways through the suppressor allowing gasses to flow forward. The result is a quieter experience for the shooter and a system-neutral design that doesn’t have an adverse effect on cyclic rates or other weapon functions.

Fiocchi, a leading ammunition manufacturer, has expanded its 5.7x28mm cartridge lineup with the Range Dynamics bulk pack, a new addition to its precision-manufactured cartridges. The 150-round boxes of 40-grain FMJ 5.7x28mm are perfect for defensive pistol and carbine practice, plinking, or simply indulging in the fun of mag dumps. SIG Sauer AG, the Swiss small arms division of SIG Sauer, still produces the SG 550 series of rifles. The company shared this picture of an SG 553 R rifle on their social media pages. The main difference of this model from other SG 553 rifles is that it is chambered in 7.62×39 and is fed from AK-47 magazines. There is also a civilian 7.62×39 version of these rifles called SIG 556 R.

Finnish firearms manufacturer Sako have just released a new family of bolt action rifles called Sako 90 which is apparently the successor of the recently-discontinued Sako 85 line of rifles. The Sako 90 series will initially include seven models designed for different types of hunts and user preferences. Let’s take a closer look.

In this episode of TFBTV, Hop checks out the new SIG-Sauer M400 X-Series SDI. Don’t let the awful, terrible, truly indefensibly bad name fool you, the X-Series SDI is actually pretty cool. This AR adopts some of the improvements of SIG’s Spear LT rifle and is more full-featured than the older M400 Tread series rifles. But it also costs way more, so it really ought to be.

Introduced at SHOT Show 2023, the Reap Weaponries Scy bullpup conversion kit for AR-15 pattern rifles is now available. In a surprising move, it appears that Singapore’s Army may have selected the Colt IAR as its new squad/section automatic weapon, replacing the ST Kinetics Ultimax 100. The news comes from a 10-minute video shared on the Singapore Army’s ‘OurSingaporeArmy’ YouTube channel, an official social media outlet for Singapore’s Army.

The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg will equip its armed forces with the HK416 A7. Luxembourg will replace the Steyr AUGs currently in service with weapons from Heckler & Koch through a contract worth 8.4 million Euros ($9.2 million).
