Gunwerks Lite SabR – Integrally Suppressed Bolt-Action Rifle Chambered in .338 RCM

The Skunkwerks custom firearms division of Gunwerks built a pretty interesting bolt-action rifle which they named Lite SabR. This rifle is chambered in .338 Ruger Compact Magnum (.338 RCM), has an integrally suppressed barrel and extensively utilizes light materials such as carbon fiber, titanium and magnesium. The result is an extremely lightweight yet potent, hard-hitting rig. Comparing with other rifles in their product line, Gunwerks describes the new Lite SabR as a rifle that is “light as a ClymR, but hits like the HAMR!“.

DIY 40mm Rounds? Loose Rounds Attempts to 3D Print 40mm Projectiles

Howard over at Loose Rounds often posts some interesting things and this post, in particular, caught my eye as something worth looking deeper into. It seems that Howard is in the process of trying to make DIY 40mm practice rounds for his launcher. Howard owns an M203 40mm grenade launcher, however, genuine practice rounds are no longer easy to come by ever since the ATF deemed them as Destructive Devices back in 2015.

New SureFire SF RYDER 9-Ti2 Suppressor

If you haven’t tried it yet, I highly recommend that you try shooting a suppressed handgun. It changes the balance of the gun quite a lot, to the front obviously, but once you get a grip (pun intended) it’s an excellent experience. In 2015 TFB was invited to the Surefire Institute to experience Surefire’s very first 9 mm pistol suppressor, but things have developed and it’s time for the next generation. According to Surefire, the new RYDER 9-Ti2 is one of the lightest suppressors in its class and reduces the sound by 28dB at the shooter’s ear. It’s also easy to clean and will be available in two colors – Black and Dark Earth.

WINNING: ASA Announces That Suppressor Exports Are Now Legal

In a move that should hopefully boost the suppressor industry, the American Suppressor Association has just announced that the State Department has rescinded a nearly 20-year-old memo that prevented the commercial exportation of suppressors outside of the United States. More distributors, dealers and customers around the world should increase demand and production here in the U.S., funneling more resources into research and design, giving domestic customers better options. Commercial suppressor exports will also allow for comparisons between manufacturers outside of the United States – unfortunately, U.S. regulations still prevent the commercial importation of foreign silencers and other firearms regulated by the National Firearms Act.

CZ-USA explained that they didn’t have an official press release as the first batch of Bren 2 compliance kits weren’t enough to meet every owner’s demand, but they were happy to provide some of the details below.
