The MidwayUSA Foundation is investing in the future of shooting, in a big way. The non-profit group has announced it has put $5.4 million into youth shooting sports programs in the U.S., including a massive chunk of cash in its latest grant cycle.

The Beretta M12, with its variants, has over 60 years of history, and it’s one of the most iconic SMG models in Europe. Recently Beretta gave it an heir with the more modern PMX. The book by Carlo Canterini “From the Beretta M12 Machine Gun to the PMX” details this journey.

Lancer Systems has updated their L5 Advanced Warfighter Magazine with a new Gen 2 version. Like the prior version, it combines steel feed lips with a polymer body. The L5AWM Gen 2 offers updated feed lip geometry and refined design compared to the original.

Springfield Armory has announced that they will now be offering their Emissary 1911 in an All-Black variant for those who want to invigorate those Dark Knight or Punisher vibes. These All-Black Emissary 1911s still carry a forged steel frame and slide with now a black Cerakote finish as well. Moreover, you can still expect the Emissary’s distinctive squared trigger guard for additional room when shooting with gloves on.

Like last week’s episode, this week’s episode jumps right back into the hot topic of suppressors and this time we’re talking about more than just wishful thinking about getting rid of the NFA, and keeping wait times at a reasonable interval. If you check out the results of the “All Army” Small Arms Championship, the answer is… the Army National Guard. This year’s Small Arms Championship ran March 10-16 in Fort Moore, Georgia. Across the United States, gun control laws seem to be loosening or being nixed altogether at a very quick rate. Strike Industries has started to delve into producing its own magazines for popular platforms like the AR-15. Now they’re getting into handguns with their first-ever polymer G19 Strike Mag. Featuring a standard capacity of 15 rounds, the Strike mag is compatible with all generations of Glock 19 pistols and is also compatible with Strike Industries baseplate magazine extensions. Strike Industries says that these new magazines are extremely durable, and also compatible with a wide variety of defensive handgun ammunition.

Weatherby just took its shotgun line forward, announcing the SORIX line of semi-autos in 12 gauge and 20 gauge. The new shotguns are inertia-operated; watch the video below, and when the action is disassembled, the internals look similar to other inertia designs. However, the SORIX action has one big trick up its sleeve. It’s an ambidextrous design, sort of.

Unless there’s a major turn of events, it appears the state of Louisiana is about to legalize permitless concealed carry. The news comes as a majority of the state’s representatives voted to pass Senate Bill 1 on February 28. The Secretary of the Senate has passed the bill on to Governor Jeff Landry.
