Two cornerstone suppressor companies have just announced an agreement on a quick detach (QD) suppressor mounting system collaboration. B&T USA and SureFire have reached a partnership where B&T has the exclusive rights to manufacture suppressors that utilize SureFire QD attachments.

Many guns are exceedingly serious tools, purpose-built for potential life-or-death situations. Others are made more for fun – entertaining, enjoyable range toys. Today’s examination focuses on a case of the latter. Unless you live under a rock, by now you’ve likely at least heard of the extremely popular television series “The Mandalorian”, launched in 2019, from Disney’s Star Wars universe. One of the titular character’s weapons in the series is a sniper rifle called the Amban Phase-Pulse blaster, noted for its prominent two-pronged forked muzzle. As gun guys often do, some viewers who are also firearms aficionados have geeked out over the show’s prop weapons, looking for real-world guns that the props may be based on. In the case of the Amban rifle, there were none to be found. The blaster was an entirely fabricated prop and not a dressed-up real gun, as many other Star Wars weapons have been. However, the mad AK scientists at a Phoenix-based shop called Lee Armory have at least somewhat changed that.

While Israeli-based Bul Armory manufactures a number of other guns, what many shooters probably associate them most closely with is their lineup of 1911s. The company’s current catalogue features nearly two dozen models based on John Moses Browning’s venerable design. The Bul crew has largely set out to modernize this classic, particularly when it comes to their competition-centric race guns. They’ve come out with 1911s chambered for rounds other than the OG’s .45 ACP, as well – including .38 Super, .40 S&W, and 9mm. This last caliber is now getting three new SAS II-series versions. Meet the TAC PRO 4.25″ and the TAC 4.25″ and 5″ handguns, coming to the US market this year. Get the specs in the two respective press releases copied below.

The CZ P-10 range of pistols should be well-known already, and they’re now being offered with new attractive pricing, from $299 and upwards depending on the model. As with all other things, a high-quality knife usually comes with a high price tag. Your sub-$30 Big 5 sale knife will still cut, but not as sharply as the corners cut when it comes to durability, steel quality, and handle materials. Cold Steel has been a big name in the knife world for a long time, and their trusted name garners prices of at least a bill. To make their knives more attainable, or at least make you cry less when you beat them up, Cold Steel has introduced their Pro Lite series, made up of three new folders.

Bul Armory has been producing small arms for about a third of a century, since the Israeli operation’s founding in 1990. In the US, they’ve come to be probably most commonly known for their 1911s, notably their competition-purposed race guns. However, they also produce handguns intended for duty use and EDC/concealed carry. Over the last year or so, there have been rumblings about some new and improved polymer-framed models coming to the US, as James and Luke C. reported on at last year’s IWA trade show. More updates emerged earlier this month from IWA 2023, and now Bul has announced that their new 2023 Axe Hatchet handgun models, generally comparable to the Glock 17 and 19 but with some apparent aftermarket customization-inspired features, should be available later this year. The Civilian Marksmanship Program continues to offer new events and competitions. Hot on the heels of their action pistol program comes a new mid-range rifle match at the National Matches. This match is scheduled for July 31st, 2023.

Taylor’s & Company have announced the introduction of a 9x19mm version of their 1875 Outlaw revolver. Combining the classic look of an old west revolver, the 1875 Remington, with a modern cartridge. The 9mm 1875 Outlaw will be available in two barrel lengths – 5.5in and 7.5in.

Angstadt Arms is probably most well-known now for being one of the few companies to make a roller delayed blowback 9mm PCC that isn’t an MP5. The Angstadt Arms roller delayed MDP-9 is a 9mm pistol or SBR that provides the user with a platform that is both compact and compatible with more affordable and available 9mm Glock magazines. The Armasight Watchman IR illuminator can be handheld or weapon mounted, runs on either a single 18650 rechargeable battery or two CR123 lithium batteries, and has a high output of 600 mW. The package includes a weapon mount, tape switch, and an 18650 battery.
