A couple of months ago Adams Arms has introduced their P Series Micro Gas Block which you can read about by clicking here. Recently, they have also announced the availability of the adjustable version of that gas block called P Series Adjustable Micro Gas Block.

Not tired of California compliant product post yet? I hope not because here’s another product for those stuck behind enemy lines in the Golden State, this time it’s from B&E3D LLC and it’s called the LedgeGrip. Starting in 2018 Californians have to either register their semi-auto sporting rifles as “assault rifles” or take off all the scary features that make them so deadly. The pistol grip and adjustable stock are some of those scary features criminals love so much.

American Tactical Imports is an importer and seller of all sorts of firearms and accessories.They offer everything from polymer AR-15 lower receivers and match grade threaded Glock barrels to shotgun ammunition. They’re also the importer of the popular GSG 1911 in .22lr the GSG MP-40 pistols. Well now they’ve selling muzzle brakes for the AR-15.

Competing elements of the Ukrainian Special Operations Command came together recently to participate in a skill of arms testing precision rifle capabilities, teamwork, handgun marksmanship, care under fire, among numerous other skill sets often required by sniper teams in combat. Due to the diversity of uniforms, weapons, and equipment, it appears that each two man sniper team might have come from a different Ukrainian Special Operations unit. According to Wikipedia there are five such ground regiments (SoF regiment, not conventional) and one Naval regiment currently active in the Ukraine.

Scalarworks makes some pretty high quality mounts and sights for the AR-15. They recently released their aluminum On Point” High-Speed Low-Drag Sights that weight in a just 26.6g (or .94oz). They also have the lightest QD Aimpoint CompM4 mount on the market weighting in at just 1.33oz.

Leapers, Inc. is now offering a new hand guard under the UTG Pro brand for the AR style rifle. The new “Super Slim” rail has the no nonsense name of MTU015SSM.

The timeline for the replacement of the troubled G36 rifle with a new yet-to-be-selected weapon has been announced by the Bundeswehr. The German System Sturmgewehr Bundeswehr (SSB)program was announced on February 3rd, 2016, with the solicitation itself being released on April 19th, 2017. According to Polish gun magazine MilMag, the testing and evaluation segment of the program was begun in July of this year, and is expected to be completed by November 2018. Between December of 2018 and April of 2019, the Bundeswehr will deliberate on the winner of the contract, which is expected to be awarded the following month in May. Final testing and troop trials will be conducted over the course of the next year, and fielding is expected to occur starting in September of 2020. Notably, it seems the new weapon is certainly not considered an “interim” item, as it is expected to serve through 2046.

F&D Defense has recently announced that the first rifle utilizing their folding technology is now available for purchase. It is called XAR Invicta and is chambered in 5.56x45mm / .223 Remington. This folding mechanism was announced earlier this year and was initially shown on an AR-10 pattern rifle.

Surprise! Strike Industries has another new product coming soon. This time around it’s a new blast shield called the Oppressor. They’re claiming it’s “the next evolution in concussion reduction devices”. If you’ve stood next to someone on the firing line with a muzzle brake then I’m sure you’ve felt and heard the massive concussion they can put out. Most other blast shield, diverters or concussion reduction add-ons simply redirect the muzzle blast forward, however this also reduces the effectiveness of your muzzle brake.

Several months ago FAB Defense has introduced a new AR-15 buffer tube compatible stock called GL-CORE. Recently they have released an upgraded version of that stock which features a three-position adjustable cheek riser added to the initial design. The new stock is called GL-CORE CP.

TACCOM, LLC announced the company introduced another 9mm barrel for your AR style rifle. This new barrel meets the legal requirements for a rifle (16″) while adding an extended ramp and staying lightweight.

Strike Industries’ solution to the problem of rotating and walking out AR-15 pins is pretty unique and simple as in the case of many other of their products. The pins of their anti-walk/anti-rotation system extend a bit over the lower receiver exposing a groove. The retention itself is accomplished by an external clip.

It isn’t a secret that the standard collapsible stock on an AR-15 can be a bit on the weak side thanks to the pin that holds the stock in place. If you have ever had to mortar your rifle to clear a malfunction and forgot to collapse the stock you know what can happen. The new Magpul UBR Gen 2 is stronger and lighter than the previous version and gives your rifle the ability to withstand just about any punishment you put the stock through.

We’ve already seen all kinds of stylized magazine wells of AR-15 lower receivers – skulls, hog heads and whatnot. Looks like for 2017 the helmet styled magwells are in trend. Two companies offer them right now.
