Strike Industries Latchless Phantom Charging Handle Now Available In Three Colors

In the first of many new products that Strike Industries now has notified us about, they are now offering the Phantom charging handle in a gray color. For those of you not familiar with the Phantom charging handle, it is an ambidextrous charging handle that uses a hidden spring clip to keep it in place instead of a latch. When the charging handle is in its resting position the spring clip engages the cutout that allows you to get the two ears on the charging handle shaft into the channel.

Colt Capitalizes on Foreign Military Sales Program

In a recent announcement, the U.S. Government has released a 7 million dollar award modification notice for Colt Defense’s over 35 million dollar contract to provide M4 and M4A1s in the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program. This modification notice specifically mentions the countries of Georgia, Lebanon, Iraq, Slovakia, Pakistan, and Bahrain.This latest modification tacks on another 7 million dollars for the additional countries, specifically mentioning the number of 8,730 M4/M4A1 carbines. The numbers bring this to around $800 per carbine, but we assume the actual cost per rifle is much lower with the extra cost being taken on by other equipment.

New Viking Tactics TRUSS AR-15 Trigger

This new AR-15 trigger introduced by Viking Tactics is actually a collaboration of VTac with TriggerTech and Christensen Arms. Logos of all three companies are engraved on the trigger housing. The new trigger is called Truss because its appearance resembles one. As you can see it has a distinctive large and skeletonized flat trigger shoe.

BSF Perforated Carbon Fiber Sleeved Barrels

There are several companies in the industry offering carbon fiber wrapped barrels. What makes BSF different is that their barrels are not carbon fiber wrapped, but they are carbon fiber sleeved or jacketed. Also, the carbon fiber sleeves of BSF barrels are perforated to aid cooling.
