Palmetto State Armory Releases AR-V, An AR That Takes Scorpion Mags

Palmetto State Armory recently released a 9mm AR-15 pistol that accepts the popular CZ Scorpion EVO 3 magazines.  The new AR-V is similarly named after Palmetto State Armory’s AK-V Kalashnikov 9mm pistol, which also shares the same magazine pattern and 9mm caliber.  The AR-V is currently available as a complete pistol, with either an 8 inch or 10.5 inch barrel, or as a parts kit which includes the upper and lower receivers, bolt, and magazine.  PSA describes their new offering below:

Vigilance Rifles M20 9mm Pistol Caliber Carbine

Vigilance Rifles, a company which product line primarily consists of large caliber (.50 BMG, .408 CheyTac, etc.) bolt action and semi-auto rifles, has entered the market of pistol caliber carbines by introducing a 9mm PCC called M20. Hornady BLACK Line Of Ammo Expanded To Popular Pistol Calibers

The Hornady BLACK line of ammunition was established on rifle calibers, of which are typically associated with “black rifles”.  Hornady’s website now has popular pistol calibers listed under the BLACK label and utilizes the XTP hollow point projectiles.  The new BLACK branded pistol caliber ammo is billed for use as defensive ammo across the caliber offerings, with some also being suggested for target/match and varmint hunting. The pistol versions introduced thus far are .380 ACP, 9mm Luger (in 115 and 124 grain), .40 S&W, and .45 ACP.

The Polish VIS 100 M1 (Ragun, PR-15) Pistol Is Coming To America

FB Radom’s newest military sidearm has gone by several names, such as “Ragun”, “PR-15” and most recently, upon it’s official adoption by the Polish armed forces, the “VIS 100”. Followers of the development of this double action/single action (DA/SA) pistol have been hopeful that it would be imported into the U.S. at some point. Well, there seems to be some recent evidence that an importation deal is in the works. It also appears that the civilian version will have a few extra upgrades over its military issued version.

HK Style Left Side Charging Handle For Kalashnikov KP-9

Kalashnikov USA’s popular KP-9 pistol has made quite a splash in the pistol caliber carbine revival, which means that the aftermarket is starting to ramp up.  While browsing Reddit, I found a product made for the KP-9 that replaces the hollow gas tube with a left-side charging handle.  The “Vector 7.62 HK Style” charging handle is a drop-in replacement that allows users to operate the bolt carrier with the left hand and includes a bolt hold-open cutout for the handle.

Bond Arms Celebrates a Best Seller: the Backup Derringer

For most gun people, the derringer pistol concept immediately brings to mind motifs of the Wild West. After classic late 19th-century firearms like Colt revolvers and Winchester or Henry lever-action rifles, derringers occupy their own solid niche in the story of the American frontier. Countless western films and TV shows have solidified this in our minds. No doubt you can picture it: when he enters the saloon, the cowboy leaves his rifle in its scabbard on his horse’s saddle at the hitching post outside, and the barkeep insists on keeping his brace of wheelguns behind the bar. But the seasoned trailhand isn’t stupid; he still has a knife hidden in his boot and a trusty derringer concealed in his shirtsleeve’s cuff, just in case a friendly poker game turns sour.
