3D Printing Browning Hi-Power Frames For Parts Kits
Redditor, IvanTTroll is one of that community’s trailblazers when it comes to 3D printing things gun related. His latest project has been printing pistol frames for Browning Hi-Power parts kits. Ivan said that this has been one of his most favorite projects, so much so that he’s almost assembled enough of them to make a rainbow with all the different frame colors. Seeing some of the sad, lonely parts kits available on the market makes me glad that some people are able to breathe new life into them.

CANiK USA brought one of their Battlefield Trophy pistols to TFB’s GunFest, along with their Signature Series I also wrote about.
[TFB GUNFEST] CANiK Signature Series For TP9 SFx Pistols
Canik USA recently ran several different collector’s variants of their TP9 SFx pistols, which proved quite popular with loyal fans, and eventually garnered some steep private sale prices. Due to the limited run of those pistols, Canik USA decided to appeal to those that missed out by releasing several more runs of the TP9 SFx pistols under their new Canik Signature Series. There are two upgrades that set the Signature Series apart from a stock Canik, as well as the standard Sfx line; the most noticeable of which is a sharp two-tone, contrasting finish, while the second upgrade is an added flared magazine well base for assisting in quicker reloads. The third benefit that the Signature Series gains from the SFx line is that it’s optics ready and ships with a nearly seamless rear sight plate installed.

Concealed Carry Corner: Why Weight Isn't Always Bad
Over the last decade, handguns have been getting lighter and progressively improving. With lightweight polymer guns like the SIG Sauer P365 and Springfield Armory Hellcat dropping onto the market, things have changed. The days of carrying around a real heavy metal-framed handgun are over, or are they? There are plenty of arguments online about how lightweight handguns are the best and there are valid points for that, but metal-framed guns have their advantages. Let’s jump into why weight isn’t always bad and some of the advantages of metal-framed handguns.

Wheelgun Wednesday: NEW Chiappa Charging Rhino Gen II 60DS 9mm
In this week’s Wheelgun Wednesday we will walk you down memory lane with a short synopsis of TFB’s coverage of the Chiappa Rhino over the past 11 years it has been in existence, and also cover Chiappa’s NEW Charging Rhino Gen II 60DS revolver chambered in 9mm. Chiappa Firearms and their lineup of Rhino revolvers are somewhat overlooked by the wheelgun community, but definitely not by TFB. This could be contributed to a series of factors from them having their one model – the Rhino – being their lone prominent, claim-to-fame. It could also be due to potentially less advertising in the United States being an imported revolver. Nevertheless, TFB has 11 articles covering the Chiappa Rhino revolvers that you can review and are listed below:
Molot Arms SAPSAN – 9mm PCC Based on AS Val / VSS Vintorez
Russian Molot Arms has been exploring the civilian adaptation possibilities of the VSS Vintorez and AS Val for quite a long time and they in fact now offer civilian versions of these guns on the Russian market. Apparently, the company keeps on experimenting with the design of these iconic Russian firearms as they recently introduced a 9mm PCC based on the overall design of Vitorez and AS Val. The new PCC is called Sapsan (Сапсан, means peregrine falcon).
New Kimber Micro 9 Rapide (Black Ice) Pistol
Kimber has announced the addition of Rapide (Black Ice) flavor to their Special Edition line of Micro 9 pistols. The overall appearance of the new Micro 9 Rapide (Black Ice) and its external design elements (grips, slide cuts, colors, etc.) are similar to the Kimber 1911 Rapide (Black Ice) full-size pistol and are very well scaled down to the subcompact size of the Micro 9. In their press release, the company notes that “the Micro 9 Rapide (Black Ice) takes design cues from the highly coveted 1911 Rapide (Black Ice), adding a new level of refinement and elegance to the Micro 9 lineup, all while enhancing comfort, concealment and function“.

Lancer Announces Laugo Export Approved, Alien Pistols Inbound
Nearly a year ago, at SHOT Show 2020, TFB and TFB TV reported on the Laugo Alien pistol. During the Vegas convention, Lancer Systems hosted a range event to showcase these 9mm handguns, which they were working on importing from the Czech Republic at that time. Lancer indicated that they were expecting a late Spring 2020 delivery timeframe, but of course, the ‘Rona then swooped in and disrupted everyone’s business – including global supply chains. The Laugo import timeframe then shifted, and we had no choice but to wait. Particularly given that the Alien comes from the same company behind the wildly successful Scorpion design that was sold to CZ, this delay came as a great disappointment to many shooters.
