I always want to see the cool new tech that comes out of SHOT Show, and I think that’s the case for most of us. One thing that’s often overlooked is the basics. Iron sights have been around since the beginning of firearms history, and I don’t think that’s going to change. XS Sights is continuing to put out new models of pistol sights for those of us who still don’t run a dot on our handgun. The latest to be released is the XS Minimalist Night Sights.

New Vertical Front Grip from Spuhr

Did you ever feel that you needed a vertical front grip for your Spuhr Interface handguard? Now you can, with the new R-100 Front Grip. Vertical front grips are controversial in my world, while I do like them and use them (always) on some firearms they are “forbidden” on others. It almost feels like cheating using them, but on some occasions – like barricade shooting – they may be in the way so I try not to get used to them.

F-1 Firearms' New Suppressors Available at Silencer Shop

Texas-based F-1 Firearms has emerged in recent years as a manufacturer looking to be different. Most notably, to this end, the signature feature on most of their guns and components tends to be significant skeletonizing. Although they’re not the only company putting out skeletonized parts, no one else seems to be making it their primary distinguishing hallmark, or to be using this style so prolifically. The practice is not without its doubters and detractors, but nonetheless, it has gone a long way toward putting F-1 Firearms on the map. Now this bold young company is looking to make a name in another sector of the market. As they advertised at SHOT Show 2020, F-1’s new line of suppressors is now out, and Silencer Shop has announced that three models are currently available through them.
