Oregon-based Ozark Armament have introduced a new set of 45-degree offset back-up iron sights. Designed to mount to any Picatinny rail, they are made from aircraft-grade aluminum with a hard coat anodized finish and provide an M16A2-style sight picture with windage and elevation adjustability. For a long time, I have struggled with a pile of cases and foam that have accumulated over the years.  Something I imagine many gun owners can relate to is the pile of soft and hard cases that will inevitably stack up as you acquire firearms.  This problem is aggravated even more if you have pelican cases.  Not only will you have multiple bulky hard cases but piles of replacement foam cut into specific configurations for certain loadouts. Bipods are invaluable assets for a variety of shooting activities. While there are really advanced ones on the market with all the bells and whistles, they oftentimes cost an arm and a leg, and not all applications require a high-end bipod. BLK LBL handguards with integrated bipods are really cool upgrade parts allowing you to have a bipod that when stowed completely disappears into the handguard. The company started by offering their bipod handguards for AR-pattern rifles and bolt guns. Hera Arms  Link System is a new line of muzzle devices that have an interesting two-part design that allows you to easily install or remove the muzzle devices using just an Allen key. The Link System consists of muzzle adapters called base holders and the actual muzzle devices. The base holders are screwed onto the muzzle threads of the firearm and provide an attachment interface for installing the muzzle devices which are simply threaded into the base holders and fixed in place via three set screws.

While a negligent discharge is at the top of my list of things to avoid on the range, there are other dangers to consider while shooting. Traditional steel targets cause bullets to fragment on impact. Those tiny pieces typically fly into the ground around the target, but every now and then, one will fly back and hit me. Thankfully, I’m smart enough to wear eye protection, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get hurt. Back in May, Leapers announced they were making a UTG Pro MP5 handguard. This handguard is a monolithic top cover with a bottom section that bolts to it for the sides and bottom M-LOK slots. They sent one in for review so let’s take a closer look.

The advances in technology for accessories mean nothing without a solid platform on which to mount them. Polymers have done a lot for the advancement of firearms technology. One area of this industry that was heavily impacted was the manufacture of magazines. Almost every firearm I own came with a polymer magazine. Additionally, almost every aftermarket magazine I purchase is made from the fantastic plastic.
