[SHOT 2022] Hands on with Savage's New Impulse Elite Precision and Model 64 Precision

The new rifles on hand to shoot from Savage this year were the Impulse Elite Precision in 6.5 Creedmoor and the Model 64 Precision in .22lr. The Impulse Elite Precision was chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, and was fitted with a suppressor by the time we got to shoot it. The Model 64 Precision on hand sadly did not have the 20 magazine it typically would come with, but did have a suppressor fitted as well.

[SHOT 2022] PSA Shows off their PSAK-105, Tease 5.56 AK

Today at Industry Day at the Range for SHOT 2022, Palmetto State Armory showed off their PSAK-105, a 5.45 AK variant. I got a chance to see and shoot it, and I have to say that I was very impressed. The staff at the booth also teased a 5.56 AK, but unfortunately did not have one at the booth itself today.

The VHS-2 is HERE: NEW Springfield Hellion Bullpup Review & Mud Test

Commercially Available! The SIG Sauer NGSW MCX-SPEAR

The first shot heard around the world from the 2022 firearms industry is the announcement of the commercial availability of the SIG Sauer NGSW MCX-SPEAR. The MCX-SPEAR is the rifle in the final stages of selection for the Army’s Next Generation Squad Weapon (NGSW) that will equip soldiers with new rifles, ammunition, optics, and suppressors. Prior to this announcement, SIG offered the MCX in both 5.56m and 300BLK in a AR-15 sized receiver.The SPEAR, initially offered in .277 FURY (6.8 x 51) is easily converted to both 7.62 NATO and 6.5 Creedmoor.

Kalashnikov USA releases the new KUSA KR-104 SBR

Kalashnikov USA has been busy the past few months developing and releasing variants of their 7.62x39mm KR-103 rifle. Now after many requests from the community, they have finally added the much desired KUSA KR-104 short-barreled rifle for sale. Smith & Wesson M&P15 Tactical II: Welcome to the 21st Century

In this episode of TFBTV, Hop takes a look at the new Smith & Wesson M&P15 Tactical II. This is the first S&W AR to fully adopt the changes in the civilian AR market of the last 20 years. The New Palmetto State Armory AK-105

Palmetto State Armory, as in the past, quietly added a new Kalashnikov to their already eclectic lineup of popular AKM style rifles and pistols. This time it’s the Palmetto State Armory AK-105. Chambered in 5.45x39mm and featuring a 4.5mm rear folding trunnion, short (12.5in/317.5mm) barrel, and polymer folding stock. This is coming only a few months after they introduced the 7.62x39mm AK-104 which features the same length barrel and folding stock. As of the time of writing only the rifle version with extended muzzle booster, and brace-equipped pistol are live on the website but Palmetto State Armory is sure to introduce all of the same rifle and pistol configurations that are available for the AK-104.
