Frontier Armory is a leading source of African firearm parts. In addition to their array of imported parts, they are also creating a US-made reproduction Halbek device. How Many Guns Can One Person Own?

Just for the record, no, I haven’t started writing for the mainstream media, and if someone asked me “How pro-gun are you?”, I’d show them a photo of a battleship. We’ve all had a good laugh whenever the media announces that someone was found with “an arsenal” that included two pistols, a rifle, a scope and (gasp) 1000 rounds of ammo. However, the question still remains, how many guns can one person own? I suggest there are several limits – let’s explore.

Trappers & Long Rifles! NEW Rossi R95 .30-30 Win Lever-Action Rifles

Rossi surprised a lot of firearm owners when they announced at SHOT Show 2023 that they were back and with a vengeance (my words, not Rossi’s) by debuting new revolvers that looked reminiscent of something from Smith & Wesson and/or Dan Wesson from years past. They were gorgeous looking and by early reviewers from the interwebs and shmucks like me, they flat out perform. Now, Rossi is proud to announce that they are bringing some new lever-action rifles into their portfolio of ‘arms as well with the Rossi R95 .30-30 lever-action series.

A Canadian-compliant rifle you can buy in the US

In this episode of TFBTV, Hop takes a look at the CRU Arms Temp, formerly known as the Crusader Arms Templar. This is a rifle designed for the Canadian firearms market, which has restrictions very different from those in the US. The guns we can buy are very different from the ones our syrup-chugging neighbors to the North can buy, and in some instances, they can even get stuff we don’t have here (but obviously those are harder to make a video about).

The Rimfire Report: A First Look At Springfield's New 2020 Rimfire Rifles

Hello and welcome to another edition of The Rimifre Report! We’ve had a lot of awesome rimfire rifles released this year and I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to review the vast majority of them as they came out. While I was still working with the Bergara rifles we reviewed a couple of weeks ago, I also received two of Springfield’s newest rifles that were officially released to the public today. Springfield’s new 2020 Rimfire rifles are 22LR scaled-down miniatures of the company’s previously released Model 2020 line of premium bolt action hunting rifles. What’s cool about these new rifles is that they’re compatible with standard 10-round Ruger 10/22 magazines, and also feature a new 60-degree bolt throw with tons of other cool features packed into the guts of the rifle to give it an edge over other bolt-action 22LR rifles in its class. So today I’ll be giving you my first impressions of one specific model – the 2020 Rimfire Classic.

Meet the New Model 2020 Rimfire Rifles from Springfield Armory

Springfield Armory is excited to announce its latest addition to the rimfire shooting community – the new Model 2020 Rimfire series of rifles. The Springfield Model 2020 Rimfire is a new bolt-action platform featuring either a classic walnut wood stock that comes in various grades, or the choice of several variants of “target” oriented versions that feature bull barrels, and synthetic stocks. Best of all, however, is that these rifles start at around $430, and are apparently guaranteed to hold 1″ of accuracy at 50 yards with factory match ammunition when shot by a “skilled shooter.” 2-MOA isn’t bad for a rimfire rifle but we’ll have to test that out when we get one of these to the range – for now, let’s check out what Springfield has to say about their new rifles in the press release below.

POF-USA Introduces the Dragoon Series Non-NFA 13.75″ AR15

New from POF-USA is their “Dragoon Series” Renegade+ rifle.  The key feature of the Dragoon series is a 13.75″ barrel with a pinned and welded Dead Air KeyMo brake to make it a stampless gun.  13.75″ will be ideal for home defense.  The barrel length affords enough velocity to the 5.56 round while trimming off a few inches.  This makes the rifle more compact and better balanced and affords the use of a Sierra 5 or other KeyMo-compatible silencer/adapters.  The Dragoon Series is available at POF-USA “Black Label” dealers.  POF USA does not have an MSRP listed yet on their website for this SKU, but prices currently range around $2000 MSRP for other Renegade+ rifles.

It's GOOOOLD! New Luth-AR Titanium Nitride Coated (TiN) AR-15 BCG

Titanium nitride (TiN) coating is wear-resistant, inert, and most importantly for firearms – reduces friction. While TiN is most commonly found on cutting tools, punches, dies and injection mold components for improving tool life, it’s also used in the firearms industry for many of the same benefits but it’s often cited as making firearms withstand the normal wear between sliding firearms components. TiN coatings are also notable for being extremely thin compared to some other durability coating methods and thus it’s often used as a purely decorative finish as well. Luth-AR has just announced the introduction of their new TiN-coated complete AR-15 Bolt Carrier.

TFB Review: KE Arms KP-9 – KP-15's 9mm PCC Cousin

There is no doubt in my mind that Russell Phagan, the WWSD 2020 project, and KE Arms are largely responsible for the recent revival in interest concerning monolithic polymer lower receivers for AR-15 rifles. The KP-15 started hitting customer’s front doors around the start of 2021 and the subsequent bum rush of parts related to the WWSD 2020 project dried up pretty quickly leading to many taking their own routes for uppers. Just a hair over a year later, KE Arms gave fans of the KP-15 another reason to pick up another lower, but this time with a 9mm PCC in mind. The KE Arms KP-9 monolithic polymer lower receiver is the 9mm pistol caliber carbine cousin of the KP-15. The KP-9 is a logical extension to KE Arms’ list of receiver options and I’ve been lucky enough to be able to test one of these out for the better part of a year. Today I’ll share my experiences with it so far and what I think the KP-9 lower receiver offers PCC customers over other offerings already on the market.

The Unstoppable SCAR 17 Meets Immoveable VCOG

The United States Marine Corps made the decision back in early 2020 to equip its infantrymen with a universal weapon optic by adopting the Trijicon VCOG (Variable Combat Optical Gunsight) 1-8×28 riflescope as the Squad Common Optic (SCO). After an extensive evaluation process, Trijicon emerged as the chosen manufacturer for the SCO along with their 1-8x28mm VCOG optic. The contract would secure about $64,000,000 for the 19,000 units the USMC ended up ordering and delivery began in February of 2021 with the final units being delivered sometime this year (2023). The optic was meant to be primarily fielded on the M4 carbine and the M27 IAR (Infantry Automatic Rifle). However, as stated by the Marine Corps themselves, the optic is intended to be as ammunition and weapon system agnostic as possible which should mean it can easily be adapted to be effectively used on virtually any platform. Today we’re going to put that theory to the test by putting the legendary durability of the Trijicon VCOG up against the unstoppable force that is the FN SACR 17 – a rifle that is infamous for destroying nearly every optic put on it.

The Rimfire Report: An Accurately Priced 22LR Bolt Gun – Bergara BMR

Hello and welcome back to another edition of The Rimfire Report! Last week we talked about the full-size 22LR trainer, the Bergara B14R. Bergara’s B14R offering is somewhat of a rare breed of rifle – it’s not exactly handy, or cheap, and I don’t think it’s supposed to be. The B14R is a perfect replacement for those looking to train for positional shooting for a PRS match, or for just getting more use out of your expensive Remington 700 chassis system. A far more affordable and handy option is the B14R’s little brother, the Bergara Micro Rimfire (Bergara BMR). The BMR features a lot of the same features that make the B14R great, but in a completely dedicated rimfire system that just happens to use a few key components that make it just adjustable enough for the end user to tweak it to their needs and preferences. Today we’ll check it out and I’ll give you my initial impressions on the micro-sized Bergara BMR.
