TFB Weekly Web Deals 58: Cool Off with Some Fresh Gun Deals

The full force of the intense summer heat is out this year and I’m looking for almost any way to stave off the sweat before we finally make it to fall. One way I’ve found that works well is to just not go outside and instead take more time to restock and refine my gear and gun selection for following range trips. This summer has been one almost completely dominated by 9mm and 5.56/.223 for me (with the obvious addition of copious amounts of .22LR in my specific case). However, there are always a few odds and ends I’m looking for that I’m really just waiting for the right price on. I’ve included a couple of my personal selections down below as well as recommendations from both our TFB staff and our faithful TFBTV Discord supporters. Happy hunting for those hot gun deals out there and try to stay cool this summer!

Finding that sweet spot where you have a firearm big enough for your hand yet be able to conceal it easily is the place everyone wants to eventually find to carry comfortably. Let’s take a closer look at my interpretation of a carry gun size guide.

TFB Review: 5.11 Rush 72 Backpack 5 Years Later

Just over five years ago I purchased a Multicam 5.11 Rush 72 backpack.  I was tired of carrying awkward pistol bags up multiple flights of stairs, and regular backpacks weren’t cutting it for hard use.  So I bit the bullet and purchased a bag that would prove to be almost indestructible.

Concealed Carry Corner: Levels Of Carry Guns

Welcome back to another edition of Concealed Carry Corner. Last week, we took a look at whether it’s better to be self-taught or start off by taking training. Both had their perks and it was a great conversation in the comments so thank you to everyone who left their thoughts in the comment section. If you happened to miss last week’s article, be sure to click the link here. Recently I’ve heard a number of people say they don’t want to carry a concealed firearm because it’s too expensive to get set up. I think it’s a common misconception to think it costs a huge amount of money to get set up as a concealed carrier. Let’s take a closer look at some levels of carry guns.

Hello and welcome to TFB Weekly Web Deals 57! Ammunition is probably the single biggest and most ever-present cost you have in your life as a firearms owner. So this week we’re gathering up some ammunition-related deals in addition to our regular deals in the hopes you can restock some of your dwindling supply, or add to your growing stockpile for a rainy day.

If you happened to miss that article, be sure to click the link here to check it out. This week, I wanted to look at another topic I get more questions on than expected. There have been a fair number of people interested in getting their concealed carry license but get anxious about taking a class for the first time. Many have said it’s best to go out and shoot on your own first while others preach to get training first so you learn to shoot correctly. Let’s take a closer look at self-taught vs professional training.

TFB Weekly Web Deals 56: Summer Restocks on Guns, Gear and Ammo

Welcome to TFB Weekly Web Deals 56. With the Independence Day celebration over and your monthly paychecks worth of mag dumps accomplished in celebration of our great nation’s birth, it’s probably time to restock on some ammo and gear, and maybe even pick up a few new guns. There are a lot of hot releases to come later this summer which usually means that the current latest offerings of firearms, and optics will probably start to get deeply discounted as these newer options start hitting the online market. If you want evidence of that, just look at what happened to the price of the Trijicon SRO right before the Holosun 507COMP came out! While it’s not the latest and greatest (and I’m already starting to think that my 507COMP will permanently replace my SRO), the SRO is still a fine offering if you can get one on a deal and I do still think it’s leagues ahead of any other wide window red dot offering on the market in terms of raw durability. With that said, please enjoy this week’s assortment of firearm, gear, ammunition, and optics deals we’ve found for you.

TFB Weekly Web Deals 55: Independence Day Roundup

Welcome to TFB Weekly Web Deals 55! Tomorrow is Independence Day, so on behalf of everyone at TFB and TFBTV, Happy Independence Day! While this day is about celebrating the birth of our great nation, it’s also an excellent opportunity to take stock of everything we have because of not just the founding of this country, but the great people who came before us who have helped forge it into the best nation on this planet. Our founding fathers would have been unable to help instigate such a founding were it not for the arms, ammunition, and skilled gunsmiths they had around then. While the principles and purpose of the 2nd Amendment have not changed, the arms, ammunition, and gunsmiths have and we’re fortunate today to have access to some of the most cutting-edge firearms technology available on the planet, partially due to the fact that our access to arms is baked right into our nations constitution. In honor of that, and as is our custom here at TFB, let’s help celebrate our nation’s birth by sharing some great deals we’ve found for arms, ammunition, and gear in TFB Weekly Web Deals 55.

Welcome back to another edition of Concealed Carry Corner. Last week, we discussed training like we fight and the importance of consistency. If you missed that article, be sure to click the link here to check it out. This week, I want to talk about a subject that most people who carry concealed either avoid or are just too nervous to attempt. Flying with a firearm is one of those things that most aren’t willing to do because they feel like it’s either too difficult or just not worth it when traveling. Over the last few years, I have flown a number of times commercially with a firearm, along with just recently private as well which is certainly a completely different experience. Let’s take a closer look at how to fly with your carry gun.
