How badly, you ask? Fort Moore wants the pistols back so badly that they’re offering a $5,000 reward for info that cracks the case, as they believe the pistols were stolen.

Colt Canada have unveiled their C8A4 at the CANSEC 2024 trade fair in Ottawa. The new rifle is seeking to fulfill the Canadian Army’s ‘Canadian Modular Assault Rifle’ requirement which has been shaping up over the last couple of years. The ‘Canadian Modular Assault Rifle’ project is the latest element of the Canadian armed forces’ small arms modernization program which has seen the adoption of the SIG Sauer P320 as the C22 to replace the long-service Browning Hi-Power and the adoption of the C20 designated marksman rifle.

Springfield Armory debuted their Hellcat pistol as the “world’s highest capacity, micro-compact” several years ago, and they have been building out that family of pistols ever since. This includes their Hellcat RDP (Rapid Defense Package), Hellcat Pro (longer barrel, longer grip), and OSP variants (“Optical Sight Pistol” – optics ready). Now, they have announced the most feature-rich iteration yet with the unveiling of the Hellcat Pro Comp OSP.

As a Professional Hoser, I can tell you that the Lee-Enfield is the greatest bolt-action fighting rifle ever made—sorry, Mauser fans, but the record is 2-0. SIG Sauer have announced that a P320-M17 version of their ceremonial M17 pistol will be available. The Ceremonial M17s were introduced in October 2018 and have equipped the honor guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier since.

Michigan-based Next Level Armament have announced the introduction of their 6ARC Phoenix Rifle. The new rifle has Helix 6 Precision Carbon Fiber barrels and is available in 16”, 18”, and 20” barrel lengths, all with a 1-7 twist rate.  The 6ARC chambering joins their range which also includes .308, .450 Bushmaster, 5.56×45, 450 Legend, and 9mm. MSRP on the new rifle starts at $3,039.

Dark Mountain Arms is a new firearms manufacturing company (founded in 2023) located in Asheville, North Carolina. The company’s first products are a takedown rifle and pistol called STOWAWAY that have a rather unusual action and chambering combination – these are single-shot bolt action firearms chambered in 5.7×28. Let’s take a quick look at the specs and features of Dark Mountain Arms STOWAWAY rifle and pistol.

Weatherby have released another iteration of their newest Model 307 bolt action rifle called Alpine CT. The new Weatherby Model 307 Alpine CT is built with extensive use of carbon fiber components. Mossberg is expanding its double-barrel shotgun lineup—this time, they’re aiming at the home defense market. The new Mossberg Silver Reserve Eventide HS12 is a cut-down over-under that will serve multiple purposes but make no make mistake. This shotgun was built primarily for the home security market.

The Turks and Caicos legal system must be getting tired of all the American tourists who are starting to pile up there on illegal ammo importation charges. Despite threats of long minimum sentences, it appears they are readying to send tourists home to the States instead of sending them to prison—although, if the example of a Pennsylvania man they’ve just sent home is any indication, those tourists’ wallets are going to be a lot lighter.

Announced at SHOT Show 2024, Primary Weapons Systems’s User Xchange Rifle or UXR is now shipping to dealers. The rifle will be available in .308, .300BLK and .223 Wylde chamberings. PWS explain that the UXR’s key feature is “The upper receiver of the UXR is the only serialized part of the setup, enabling the shooter to easily transition from configuration to configuration, caliber to caliber.”  MSRP for the new rifles will be $2,650.

The US Marine Corps is replacing its M72 LAWs, with M72 LAWs! Marine Corps Systems Command announced on 20 May 2024, that currently in service M72 variants will be succeeded by the M72 LAW Fire from Enclosure (FFE). The M72 FFE family includes two variants: the anti-armor specialised M72A8 and the multi-purpose, anti-structure M72A10.
