TFB Review: ANVL Ukon RMR Mount

When I decided to pick up a SIG Sauer MCX Rattler back last year, I really struggled to figure out exactly what I wanted to put on as an optic. So I started looking at various Aimpoint and Trijicon optics to see what I liked. After searching around I decided to go with an RMR because it was low profile and quick to pick up with your iron sights. Plus another great thing about RMR’s is the fact they are tough as nails.

Range Report: Trijicon AccuPoint 5-20X50, LMT in 6.5 Creedmoor, Sabatti STR

A while back I took delivery of a Trijicon AccuPoint 5-20×50 for T&E, and I just recently got it mounted on a rifle and was able to take it out and start messing around with it on the range. I shot this scope alongside a completely different scope from Leupold on a completely different gun, just to maximize my range time, so I’m going to do this review in the context of a range report and that focuses on the optics.

Sentinel Concepts: Practical Urban Carbine

I attended Practical Urban Carbine (PUC) with Sentinel Concepts in Alliance, Ohio. Steve Fisher, the owner of Sentinel Concepts, brought an incredible depth of knowledge to the course. After realizing many in his carbine courses had minimal understanding of their carbines past 50-100 yards, Steve developed PUC. The US Census Bureau showed 80% of the US population lived in Urban Areas. An urban area was defined as a densely populated environment within an area encompassing 200-300 yards. As carbines are commonly used as a defensive tool, focusing on 50 yards and in makes little sense when the weapon is far more capable and urban areas expand past those distances. Local buildings were discussed that provided shots up to 300 yards, along with parking lots and outside venues we frequent on a regular basis.

In this review, I mounted an  RMR® Type 2 Adjustable LED Sight – 6.5 MOA Red Dot (RM07) to a Custom Glock pistol; one that I built for myself for league shooting, recreation and everything tacti-cool.
