A great photo is often produced by being at the right time and place and using the perfect exposure. Today the photographer really managed to capture the moment, with U.S. Marines in training. If TFB’s Photo Of The Day came with sound, you could almost certainly hear the sound of yelling from the battlefield, and shots fired from the H&Ks.

The Trijicon SRO is one of my absolute favorite red dot optics for pistol competition shooting. However, unlike most of Trijicon’s other pistol red dot offerings, the SRO makes a compromise in terms of durability in order to gain a larger window to look through. Jagerwerks has recently introduced its latest aftermarket innovation by releasing the Trijicon SRO Battle Ready Optic Shield (B.R.O.S.). The Battle Ready Optic Shield is designed to increase the durability and resistance to impacts that the SRO has to protect it from inadvertent bumps, drops, and collisions.

The RMRcc officially hit the firearms market in late 2020 and gave the micro-compact market a durable, reliable, and concealable option for concealed carriers. Weighing just one ounce, and featuring a battery life of up to 4-years, the Trijicon RMRcc shares many of the same great characteristics as its larger Type 1 and dual-illumination RMR brothers. Anyone who’s taken a look into purchasing any RMR will know that they don’t come cheap and that’s why Trijicon is excited to announce that between July 1st and September 30th, 2022, they will be offering a $100 RMRcc rebate for customers. Both the Trijicon ACOG series of riflescopes and the Aimpoint Micro red dots are optics that are highly sought after by people who like high-quality optics. Although both optics are individually very capable at their respective distances, combining the two gives the operator a more useable set of optics at a wider range of distances. Arisaka Defense just teased that they were in the process of producing new Aimpoint Micro Mounts for ACOGs.

Trijicon unveiled their new Compact ACOG reticles at this year’s NRA Annual Meeting.  The newest TA44 1.5x models now feature an RTR .223 Reticle and RTR 9mm PCC Reticle.  Here’s all you need to know about the new compact ACOGs from Trijicon.

Many people are often trepidatious about adopting a red dot into their regular carry or duty setup. While iron sights don’t require batteries and have been around nearly as long as the firearm has, red dots offer many advantages in a defensive or offensive situation that make them worth adopting into your normal rotation of firearms technologies. In an effort to make the adoption of red dots easier, Trijicon has just announced the introduction of their new Dual Defense Kit for the RMR. The Dual Defense Kit is intended to be a turn-key solution to adding a red dot to any RMR compatible pistol.

Trijicon has a new series of optic mounts with their Q-LOC technology. These mounts can be used with Trijicon red dots, thermal optics, and a wide range of riflescopes. The mounts are made in the USA and are manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminum. According to Trijicon, it is possible to remove and re-mount your optic with a Q-LOC mount without the need to confirm zero.

Brandon Holliman, a native of Suffolk, Virginia, and a rifleman with 1st Battalion, 2d Marine Regiment, 2d Marine Division (MARDIV) as they fire at an enemy position during a Military Operations on Urbanized Terrain town exercise. This training was part of Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) course 2-22 on U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground, Yuma, Arizona in April 2022.

Nevada-based Mesa Tactical have introduced their latest shell carrier combined with an RMR mount. Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, which is then anodized, the carrier can hold four or six shells and comes mounted with a Trijicon RMR. The mount is available for Remington, Mossberg, Beretta and Benelli tactical shotguns and has an MSRP ranging from $93 to $115.

Welcome back to another installment of Friday Night Lights where I bring you detailed reviews and photos of night vision, thermal, lights and lasers. This week we take a look at arguably one of the best uncooled LWIR thermal clip-ons available – the OASYS UTCXII.

The Trijicon VCOG 1–8×28 is used by the U.S. Marines as their Squad Common Optic. This optic has now been made commercially available as the SCO VCOG. It is functionally identical to the version currently used by the United States Marine Corps with only minor cosmetic changes to external laser-etched markings. It has the same forged body in 7075-T6 aircraft aluminum alloy and offers a true 1x power up to 8x magnification for longer-range applications.

Trijicon have announced the introduction of a pair of new thermal imaging systems: REAP-IR & IR-HUNTER. The optics come with various levels of magnification and feature industry-leading 640×480 resolution, 12-micron thermal sensors with 60 Hz frame rates. The REAP and HUNTER also feature USB-C connectors which allow them to be externally powered for extended periods while in the field.

TangoDown has just about everything when it comes to gun-related gear and accessories. The company just announced that they have released a long-sought-after adapter plate for the Trijicon RMR and the SIG P320 line of pistols – the SSM-03. Naturally, upon seeing this I was curious as I’ve been wanting to kit out one of my SIG P320 pattern pistols with a Trijicon SRO which happens to have the same footprint as the RMR. The kit will allow you to place a Trijicon RMR or similarly patterned option on top of your P320 with the option also available to have it paired with backup iron sights.
