Miles takes a look at the rise of highly customized Glock handguns and how it has become an interesting niche in the modern day firearms market. Two companies in particular stand out, Salient Arms International, and Agency Arms. Both companies customize the handguns sent to them, that they barely resemble the original Glocks they once were. We also have a standard Glock 22 that has been user customized in an effort to compare it to the Salient and Agency handguns.

The American Gunsmithing Institute (AGI) announced a new armorer’s course and an update to an old one. The all new course is on the Mosin-Nagant while the updated course is on the Glock pistols.

So this is a thing. We have all seen all the stippling that is very popular on the GLOCK pistols, and has bled over into the rest of the polymer-framed handgun world. Stippling can be very functional and in some cases, a very aesthetically pleasing art form. It seems to be that it is the “aesthetically pleasing” part that most gun owners have trouble with.

The following photographs are from a conversion of a .40 S&W Glock 22 Gen 3, to a 9x19mm. Although most parts are OEM, bare in mind this is in no way representative of what a stock Glock is, and is an indication to be mindful when converting a .40 S&W Glock to fire 9x19mm rounds.

I, and many others, love subcompact handguns for every day carry and self-defense. Their uber-small size allows them to be concealed when other weapons may risk printing or exposure. However, the Glock 26 has always been a bit of a problem for me, as I rationally or irrationally need my pinky finger on a gun. The stock magazines have always been a bit short.

ZEV Technologies, known for their plethora of attractive and high-end Glock accessories, has released yet another attractive and high-end Glock accessory, this time turning their machining expertise to magazine extensions for OEM Glock magazines. ZEV had previously released a magazine extension for Magpul’s GL9 series of magazine which is potentially a moot product, as Magpul released a 21 round version just a bit ago.

Almost one month ago TFB, together with the blog Cornucopia, were the first to report that the Swedish SOG and Special Police Units were to get rifles from LWRCI.

This week I take a closer look at one of my favorite handguns, the Glock 19. It is easy to see why so many people rely on the Austrian wonder 9 for everyday carry be it at work or as a licensed concealed carrier. Since its introduction to market in 1988, it has won over police departments, military units, and gun owners all over the world.

Legal Manufacturing teamed up with Chattanooga Shooting Supply (CSS) earlier this year to produce Glock 19 pistols with the NIB Battleworn finish. It would seem that these were commercially successful as CSS is set to show a new Battleworn Glock 19 with relief cuts at the SHOT Show next month.

In mid-1970s USA, a revolution was brewing, but not one of disenfranchised peasants or minorities. Instead, the time-tested and classic pistols of American gunmakers were about to be upset by European invaders. The Wondernine was coming, and on its heels the Aglockalypse. By the end of the second decade of the new millenium, no challengers would be left standing, and the high capacity Europellet 9mm would reign supreme.

Is SIG about to win a major contract – likely worth more than ten million dollars – to supply pistols for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency? That is the scuttlebutt on the street, as part of a wider theory that the agency’s Office of Firearms and Tactical Programs is in the pocket of SIG’s sales department. Whether this is true or not is unknown, but according to WeaponsMan’s Hognose, that’s the perception among the agency’s rank-and-file:

SSVI makes a drop-in Glock trigger called Tyr (a Norse God name). They offer the Tyr triggers both as an assembly with the trigger bar and the trigger shoe assemblies only. SSVI has a version of Tyr trigger virtually for all models of Gen3 and Gen4 Glock pistols.

As a writer, I’m blessed with the ability to get my hands on many firearms platforms and put them through their paces. Most writers, exposed to this plethora of platforms ultimately gravitate to some of the obscure ones for their favorite handguns. Many times, I’ve just about joined them having enjoyed the Walther PPQ, Beretta M9, and H&K weapons. But, as a fan of simplicity, I just keep coming back to the Glock. Sure, I wish it was fully mirrored ambidextrous, but its a solid platform that just works.

American Weapons posted a video of a Glock employee loading Glocks into a testing robot machine. The robot rapidly unloads the Glock by firing all the rounds until the magazine is empty. I am very curious what groups this robotic like ransom rest is getting with these Glocks.
