Larry Vickers and Tango Down have released their new Slide Racker for Gen5 Glock pistols. The new Vickers Tactical Glock accessory is called the GSR-04 and it features serrated wings on both sides. The wings are a bit wider than the factory Glock slide but not so wide that it would get in the way during concealed carry.

Shooters love to modify, alter and make their firearms their own personal masterpieces. The number one platform that firearm enthusiasts modify is the AR-15, but a likely close 2nd place would be a Glock. There is an overflowing abundance of aftermarket parts for Glock firearms. Everything from barrels to slides to sights to frames and even custom shops that will change every component of the pistol to your liking (for a nominal fee, of course). One company that is relatively new on the scene is L2D Combat. Even still, the components they are producing have stellar curb appeal. We review the L2D Combat Catalyst Slide Glock 17 Gen 4 to see if their quality and craftsmanship matches their aesthetic appeal.

At Big 3 East we met the people of Stern Defense. There they unveiled their AR-15 mag adapters to turn your AR lower into a pistol caliber carbine. They have adapters for Glock and M&P 9mm/.40. They also have adapters for M&P45 and Beretta 92. I was impressed with the adapters but found one minor issue. The lack of a flared magwell. I told them that most people who use pistol caliber carbines are competitive shooters and a flared magwell is a must for faster reloads. They took my advice and in just a month they have come out with their MAG-AD FLARE.

With nearly 20 years of law enforcement behind me, I’ve carried my share of different pistols. Some were chosen for me, others were selected off a list of approved personally owned weapons. For the last decade I’ve picked GLOCK as my choice for on duty and off duty carry. Besides being hyper-reliable, they fit my shooting style perfectly.

Bastion Gear has introduced a Glock pistol tool which combines a pin punch with a magazine disassembly tool. The punch folds into the shaft of the tool making it a more compact package which would be easier to store. The magazine disassembly portion represents a bottle opener shaped hook with a built-in stud to engage the hole in the floor plate.

A Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) based handgun company appears to have successfully been able to replicate a select fire Glock 19 with the rear selector switch. Khan Afzal Manufacturer Arms recently shared videos on their Facebook page showing various company employees test firing the Glock 19s both on semiautomatic and on full automatic, once the selector was engaged.

The Full Conceal M3D Glock 19 pistol has been pretty controversial since we first posted about them a while back. In case you missed any of our previous post about it, the Full Conceal M3D is a Glock 19 pistol that has been converted by Full Conceal to fold in half using a folding mechanism that they’ve designed. The idea behind the Full Conceal M3D is to be able to carry more ammo in a smaller package. A folded Glock 19 with a 21-round magazine has almost the same dimensions as an iPhone 7 Plus. They also recently released a folding Glock 43 as well.

Here is an interesting device but it is shrouded in mystery. Colin Despins of Max Venom Product Group has a crowdfunding campaign to sell the Fast Fire Device (FFD). At the surface level, it looks like a Glock burst firing.

According to the Danish website Krigeren.dk (Translated: The Warrior), the Danish Army is looking for a new handgun. It is mandatory for the new pistol to be Striker Fired.

Having compensators on pistols is not exactly new. Competitors have been porting pistols for a very long time. Go look at any open division pistol in USPSA or IPSC. However, since the Roland Special came out, we have seen an increasing trend in compensators for Glocks. This has led to companies like Archon Mfg to make compensators. As a fan of compensated pistols, I got the opportunity to check out their Glock compensator.

Joel Pirela of Pirela Weapon’s Division is an avid knife fanatic and shooter. He and Nemesis Knives are collaborating on making a frame mounted pistol compensator. Compensators on pistols help counter act muzzle climb and are often attached to the gun using a threaded barrel.

After long decades of mainly using pistols locally made by Forjas Taurus, Brazilian LE agencies have been turning their attention to products from overseas manufacturers, mainly in the wake of multiple reports of technical/safety issues with the “bull brand” weapons. It should be recalled that IMBEL – Indústria de Material Bélico do Brasil has been a longtime supplier of pistols for the armed forces and  some police forces, but, somehow, their single-action M1911-based guns are not so popular in the local LE scenario, although some models have been adopted by local agencies.
