Springfield Armory has announced a new XD(M) 4.5″ OSP 9mm pistol that is sure to get a lot of people excited. This model ships with two barrels which adds a lot of value for consumers as opposed to buying them separate of a factory package. You also receive 3 base plates that will afford you the ability to mount most all of your favorite miniature red dots. If you do not have a red dot in the wings waiting to board an XD(M), Springfield Armory is offering a factory package that includes a Vortex Venom 3 MOA Red Dot as well.

Sometimes a firearm comes along and you just have to put it in your hands. The CMMG MkGs Banshee 9mm AR Pistol falls smack dab into that category for me. I came across one recently and with no time to shoot it or extra kidneys to buy it, I had to at least fondle it. So in this TFB Review, we give you a short snapshot, or a lightning review, of the CMMG MkGs Banshee 9mm AR Pistol. We will try to highlight our first impressions, concerns, and areas in which we were impressed.

Rainier Arms now offers a billet AR-15 style pistol caliber carbine receiver set. It was first introduced during TriggrCon 2018 firearms convention and now it is available for preorder. No matter if you are saying it in all seriousness or with sarcasm towards the industry trend, I can hear you asking “But, does it take Glock mags?”. Yes, it does! Now let’s take a look at other features of this new PCC receiver set.

When Weapons Armament Research was designing and prototyping this compensator, it didn’t have a name yet. The company has been showing the development process on their social media pages and asking the subscribers to suggest names for this muzzle device. There were numerous suggestions but two of them were the most popular: “A10” and “War Comp”. So apparently, the company picked both names and called this 9mm Glock compensator A-10 War Comp.

Glock has released a 24-round 9mm magazine for sale, available since late July.  This new offering brings the total number of their different factory made 9mm double stack magazines to ten!  (10 (in 3 different flush fit lengths), 12, 15, 17, 19, 24, 31, and 33 rounds!). These mags should be a more concealable reload than the 31 or 33 round magazines, while still having 29% more capacity than the 17 round magazine.  Here’s Glock EU’s product description (there is not yet a product description on the North American website):

The Thompson sub-machine gun is one of my favorite looking firearms of all-time. The “Chicago Typewriter”, or “Tommy Gun” is one of the most iconic guns ever. You’ll always be able to spot a Thompson variant in most mobster movies and WWII flicks. While the Thompson was first introduced in 1918, they’re actually still being produced by Auto-Ordnance, along with 1911s and M1 Carbines.

Although the 9x19mm MA-13 MK II design was first seen online in 2012, there is still relatively not much known about it outside of the Myanmar Police Special Task Force that has been seen utilizing it as standard issue, albeit sparingly. Staying within the previous designation of the Burmese Defense Industries license produced copy of the Israeli IMI 9x19mm Uzi submachine gun as the MA-13 (MA for Myanmar Army), the Tatmadaw appears to have added a “MK II” suffix to the nomenclature to designate a variation.

Mean Arms, the company known for making the AR-15/AR-10 magazine loaders, has introduced a new product called EndoMag. This is basically a 9mm conversion kit for 5.56/.223 Gen2 and Gen3 30 round Magpul PMAGs. The converted PMAGs will work with standard AR-15 lower receivers and Glock or Colt magazine compatible 9mm bolts.

SIG Sauer has announced the release of their new Match Elite 9mm pistol ammunition. As the name implies, these loads are designed for competition shooters. It is advertised to be soft shooting and low recoil ammunition making it easier for the competition shooters to make fast follow up shots.

Wilson Combat has introduced the Commander version of the Vickers Elite 1911 pistol. This shorter iteration of the Vickers Elite 1911 is designed for the concealed carry market. As you can expect from a Wilson Combat gun, this pistol is packed with a bunch of custom features.
