In what has been a tremendously tumultuous year (to paint things lightly), many firearm manufacturers have put projects and product introductions on hold. None of us have crystal balls to gaze into the future, but it has been a difficult enough year for many companies to stay afloat. We have already witnessed the gargantuan group of Remington Outdoor Company go bankrupt. Nobody else wants to join that list. Springfield Armory is one company that is triumphantly charging forward with nearly all of their firearms in high-demand. In fact, Springfield Armory has taken their SAINT Victor and chambered it in 350 Legend to give hunters a more premium option for big-game hunting.

Red dot shooters use risers for a multitude of reasons. One of those reasons is shooting under night vision. NODs are expensive, so who wants to drop two bills on an optics mount? Not the people at Primary Arms. They just introduced the new GLx Microdot Riser Mounts.

Looking for a new knife? Haley Strategic and Toor Knives have partnered in the development of a new fighting blade. The result is called The Darter and it’s available in three different colors – Coyote, Disruptive Grey or Ranger Green. The price for The Darter knife is $395.00 and it’s a limited series. Each Darter is finished with an individual serial number marking, an important feature for potential collectors.

Charging handles – some don’t care about them and some love to style them, but we all need them. Strike Industries are now offering their SI M4 AR-15 charging Handle in new colors that are called REDLINE, BLUELINE and FDELINE. These will only be available through Optics Planet.

Rival Arms have introduced a new chassis system for Remington 700. The R-700 Precision Chassis System is CNC-machined from aluminum billet and available in three finishes black, satin gray and FDE. The R-700 weighs in at 25 oz and is designed to accept AR-15 grips and buffer tube style buttstocks. It has M-LOK attachment points at 3 and 9 o’clock and is suitable for barrel diameters up to 1in.

We all have our favorites and TriggerTech has become mine for precision AR10/15 Rifles. It’s now time for owners of SIG Sauer MPXs, AR-9s and Freedom Ordinance FX-9s to rejoice as the Canadian company has launched three new triggers for these platforms.

When it comes to red dot sights for fighting rifles, Aimpoint optics typically sit on the top tier. And when it comes to Aimpoint’s red dot models, the T-2 sits atop their Micro series‘ tiers. The T-2 enjoys the highest specs and most robust set of features of this small form factor product line and is a favorite for many shooters, including some high-level professionals. This red dot’s small size and weight, exceptional durability and reliability, and long battery life make it an excellent choice in a wide variety of shooting applications for which built-in magnification is not needed. That said, Aimpoint does also make separate magnifier units that can be installed behind their red dots in flip mounts, for greater flexibility and versatility. Longtime industry expert and former Delta operator Larry Vickers is also a proponent of this excellent little optic and has now partnered with the Swedish-based manufacturer to release a Vickers Tactical limited-edition version of the T-2.

With the increasing popularity of 80% pistol frames, it’s no surprise that an aftermarket specific to these frames has risen to meet the needs of shooters and builders. One of the options on the market is the Strike Industries Strike 80 Compact Pistol Frame. If you run a Strike 80 Compact, you know that there are many parts made for Gen3 Glocks that are compatible with these frames. However, due to dimensional differences, a magwell for the S80 has been but a dream, until now. Strike Industries has released a designated magwell for Strike 80 Compact frames.

TFB has written a lot about the German manufacturer C.G. Haenel lately, but the dust seems to have settled a little. First, they won the tender for Germany’s next army weapon, then they didn’t. It’s all quite confusing even for those who are trying to keep up on a daily basis, but in this article, we’re going to forget all about that and focus on one of their new products. After all, the company is probably most known as a supplier of the G29 sniper rifle for the German Army. It’s called the Haenel RS9 and chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum.

Alabama-based SAR USA have introduced their double action/single action all-steel SAR 2000. A hammer-fired 9mm pistol with a 17 round magazine and a 4.5in barrel. SAR USA also recently introduced their SAR 9X Platinum, you can read about that here.

Binoculars – a great tool for a lot of things where the activity includes any kind of shooting. Regardless if you’re hiking, hunting or spotting hits for yourself or a friend, they’re a great tool to get a closer look at the target and what’s going on there. One of the main issues is stability, it’s a constant battle. If you don’t have enough magnification you can’t see, and if you go too high on the magnification you can’t get a steady image.

Situated on the southern outskirts of North Texas’ bustling Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area, the small suburban city of Mansfield, Texas is home to optics manufacturer Sightmark, with its 33,000 square-foot headquarters. Since this facility was completed in 2011, just four years after their 2007 founding, the company has been busy producing a sizable catalogue of red dot sights, scopes, binoculars, magnifiers, sighting lasers, and more. Although some of these products are priced into the mid-range sectors of their respective categories, the vast majority of them are aimed at budget-conscious customers. Out of the more than three dozen models of riflescope options currently sold, for example, less than one-quarter of the lineup carries an MSRP in excess of $500, and only one of these breaks the $1000 mark.

Some consider the B&T APC9 to be the “Swiss watch” of pistol caliber carbines. As you may remember, the U.S. Army selected the B&T APC9 K as their New Sub Compact Weapon last year, with an initial order of 350 firearms. B&T USA have now made a limited run to commemorate the contract, which includes complete serialized cases. 333 of these are available exclusively to US-based collectors.

Looking for a thermal scanner or didn’t know that you needed one? There are many models on the market and if the Pulsar XM30S and Axion XQ38s feel too small and the Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars too big, there’s soon a remedy in the form of an updated version of the Pulsar Helion 2 XQ monocular models.

Nearly a year ago, at SHOT Show 2020, TFB and TFB TV reported on the Laugo Alien pistol. During the Vegas convention, Lancer Systems hosted a range event to showcase these 9mm handguns, which they were working on importing from the Czech Republic at that time. Lancer indicated that they were expecting a late Spring 2020 delivery timeframe, but of course, the ‘Rona then swooped in and disrupted everyone’s business – including global supply chains. The Laugo import timeframe then shifted, and we had no choice but to wait. Particularly given that the Alien comes from the same company behind the wildly successful Scorpion design that was sold to CZ, this delay came as a great disappointment to many shooters.

Henry, a manufacturer of classic lever action rifles, has spent the last few years bringing new features into their most popular models. Ranging from side loading gates to threaded barrels and accessory rails, Henry is listening to customer requests and building traditional guns with additional modern features. And they have just announced their most all-encompassing upgrade to date: most of Henry’s lever action rifles will now feature side loading gates. In addition, their single shot rifles are now available in .350 Legend and .450 Bushmaster.

The company SuppressorTools already has a few mentions here at TFB. Typically they develop and manufacture tools for today’s most popular sound suppressors, but this one has nothing to do with suppressors. A lot of people use red dots and the Aimpoint ACRO is one of the newer ones on the market. Changing the battery without leaving a lot of scratches can be a bit tricky, so they developed a tool to help with this – the AcroBat.

When you think of the suppressor market, there are some manufacturer names that immediately come to mind. There usually aren’t too many surprises or obscure brands on “ best of” or “ reader’s choice” lists. The New Mexico-based CGS Group, also known as Chaos Gear Supply, has historically not been one of those more famous names. However, with the November 18th release of a new suppressor model in two configurations, we may see the potential for that to change in the future. CGS Group’s new Hyperion and its little brother, the K version, are now available for pre-order through Silencer Shop and other NFA dealers. Though early runs of these suppressors have seen some limited testing, this new announcement signifies the start of full-scale consumer distribution.

Savage Arms have introduced a new series to their venerable 110 range of hunting rifles. The Backcountry Xtreme series includes six rifles with improved ergonomics and protective finishes. Two new rifles have been added to the series the Ultralite Camo and Timberline.

IEA Mil-Optics is a German company supplying premium solutions for armies and professionals. The company was founded in 2000 and is now one of the leading providers of night vision technology and special equipment for the German Army, as well as German state and federal authorities. Due to demand from their customers, IEA Mil-Optics have developed a series of mounts suitable for riflescopes with a tube diameter of 30mm or 34mm. The optical axis is 39 mm above the Picatinny rail.

Do you shoot the .408 CheyTac, .375 CheyTac, and .375 EnABELR? You probably do it for the extreme long-distance accuracy these cartridges offer. Now you can enjoy sound suppression as well as reduced dust and debris from the muzzle. Surefire has a new fast-attach suppressor for these large calibers called the SOCOM408-ELR. It’s made of titanium and available in DLC Black and Dark Earth Cerakote finishes. The weight is just 22.0 oz (623 g). 

Designed for low temperatures, dry air, low pressures and long shots. The new Savage 110 Timberline is made for demanding hunters and comes with a fluted barrel, overmolded surfaces for better ergonomics and an Omni-port muzzle brake. The stock has adjustable height and length-of-pull and the rifle is available in left and right configurations.

A classic aesthetic 1911 model at a moderate price-point, chambered in a non-classic caliber. The Springfield Armory Ronin 1911 is now available in 10mm. The model is configured as a full-size 5″ gun, with an 8+1 capacity.

Palmetto State Armory recently released a 9mm AR-15 pistol that accepts the popular CZ Scorpion EVO 3 magazines.  The new AR-V is similarly named after Palmetto State Armory’s AK-V Kalashnikov 9mm pistol, which also shares the same magazine pattern and 9mm caliber.  The AR-V is currently available as a complete pistol, with either an 8 inch or 10.5 inch barrel, or as a parts kit which includes the upper and lower receivers, bolt, and magazine.  PSA describes their new offering below:

Meprolight have announced a new reflex sight, the MOR PRO. With a 160-degree field of view, various laser pointer options, a number of reticle options and an onboard LED for bright modes. Meprolight describe the MOR PRO as highly durable and energy efficient – with the MOR family of optics having four independent power sources – Fiber Optic, Tritium and two independent AA batteries. The system is 15cm or 5.9in long and weighs in at 440g or 15.5oz.

The Thunder Beast Arms Corporation, or TBAC for short, has put out some solid suppressors in their thirteen-year history. This Cheyenne, Wyoming-based operation was founded in 2007 with a simple and passion-driven mission: “…to make the best sound suppressor for precision and long-range shooting.” The following year saw the release of their 30P suppressor, followed by a 2009 update in the then-flagship 30P-1 titanium can. Over the years as TBAC continued to progress and innovate, the 30P-1 gave rise to their Ultra series, and in January of 2015 the 9-inch Thunder Beast can was retired and replaced by the Ultra 9.

If you are a competitor in the IPSC Standard Division (or similar division in other shooting sports like USPSA), there is a new gun to watch out for. The new CZ TS 2 Sport Pistol is primarily developed for this division and has a single-action only trigger mechanism and it “fits the box”. While the external appearance of the new TS 2 is very similar to the CZ Shadow 2, the company claims that it was built completely independently of the CZ Shadow. “TS” stands for Tactical Sports. Above you can see the “Deep Bronze” version, and below the base version.

TFB has covered most of Ultradyne’s products thus far, but one that seems to have slipped through the cracks of the internet is the Ultradyne Pulse muzzle brake.  I happened to find the Pulse while wading through the sea of muzzle devices and it caught my eye.  Ultradyne has actually listed the Pulse for about a year, but it seems to go without much recognition.  It’s currently rated for 23 different calibers between the .223, .308, and .350 options, and also accommodates Ultradyne’s muzzle device mounted front sight product.  You can find Ultradyne’s description and specifications of the Pulse muzzle brake below:
