If you’ve been keeping up with the new products from Primary Arms, you’re probably already aware of the SLx GEN III Prism scopes that were released earlier this year. Bruce Wayne might have wanted the Tumbler in black, but smart companies know that many shooters want their optics in Flat Dark Earth. Primary Arms is now offering their SLx GEN III Prism scopes in FDE.

If you’re looking for a Red Dot you might exit the shop with a Green Dot in your bag. Primary Arms Optics has just added the option for a green reticle if that is – or becomes – your preference. The price for the green-illuminated ACSS Cyclops reticle in the SLx 1×20 prism optic is $239.99, and I’m not surprised that the model is their best selling optic.

Modular Driven Technologies (MDT) is based in British Columbia and well-known among precision rifle shooters. Their XRS Chassis System was introduced earlier this year and the inlet options just keep on growing. The MDT XRS is now available for the rimfire CZ 457. 

Earlier this year TFB had the pleasure to review the Zero Compromise ZC527 Riflescope together with a Spuhr mount. Now they have developed their own brand of scope rings, which have been styled, and manufactured to ZC’s specifications by American Precision Arms.

Barrel and accessory manufacturer Backup Tactical has just announced the release of two new barrels. The Backup Tactical SIG P320 threaded barrels are available for both the compact and full-size models in either black nitride or FDE (titanium nitride) finishes. Safariland has unveiled a phone-based program designed to make sizing body armor and uniforms quicker and with less hassle, rather than having others take the measurements.  Safariland’s sizing technology is called XpertFit, and is said to take only two minutes for the user to find out which armor or uniform sizes will be recommended for them. I don’t know if social distancing was a prime motivator for Safariland when they created XpertFit, but that may be one of the benefits for agencies or distributors that want to limit contact.  Safariland describes XpertFit below:

TFB have written about several interesting products from Really Right Stuff, like the Limited Visibility Spotter Kit, the BH-55 Ball Head, the Cinch-LR Bino Adapter and one of their larger tripods. They now have a new packable tripod called Ascend-14. It’s available in either a Platform version or with the integrated Ascend Ballhead. It’s also possible to use the RRS Anvil-30 mount directly to the tripod.

Looking for a new carry gun or an upgrade? ZEV Technologies from Centralia, Washington, have announced their new Z365 Octane gun mod. This is an official collaboration between ZEV and SIG Sauer. ZEV’s P365 offerings include PRO Barrel, Combat Sights and the optics ready Octane slide.

There is a common trope in the night vision world: 1 < 2 < 4. These numbers refer to the quantity of tubes used in different sets of NODs (Night-vision Optical Devices). Monoculars like the PVS-14 or Photonis Vyper-14 are inherently more limited than binocular devices like DTNVGs, and “ panoramic” quad-tube NODs like GPNVGs are heralded by many as the holy grail of seeing in the dark – hence, one tube isn’t as good as two tubes, which aren’t as good as four. Although in practicality, the four vs. two debate is a bit more complex than this somewhat trite representation, with factors like weight entering the mix, the fact remains that quads are a big deal (and come with the big price tag to match). Doubtlessly, there is something to be said for panos’ offering of a wider field of view and resultant better situational awareness.

For those of you following the “ What Would Stoner Do” (WWSD) series on the InRangeTV YouTube channel, you know that a monolithic polymer AR-15 Lower receiver is in the works. This polymer lower is being produced by KE Arms, and they’ve dubbed the new AR component as the KP-15. It features an A1 length stock and will come in four different configurations in regards to the internal parts. Handstops – some love them and some hate them, but as long as people keep buying them companies will make them available. Rainier Arms have some absolutely fresh ones called AIX (Angled Integrated Stop). They remind me of a shark fin. If you’re (overly) concerned about saving weight you can choose the holed version, which will probably save you a millisecond or two in your target transitions.

Owners of the CZ Scorpion EVO 3 now have another part to add to their firearm. Strike Industries have developed an extended ambidextrous selector switch. It is made from a lightweight polymer, it has ribs for added friction, the installation is drop-in. Once installed, the new selector will allow you to manipulate the controls with either your thumb or index fingers.
