Peterson Cartridge Company is a manufacturer of brass casings for handloaders that are primarily designed for and used by long-distance shooters. Although they are a smaller company based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania they produce a very healthy amount of Peterson Match Grade Brass for consumers.

Peltor Sport, a 3M brand, has some new electronic hearing protection out on the market meant to be higher quality and more conscientious of the shooter’s needs. Their Tactical 300 and Tactical 500 Electronic Hearing Protectors punch in at a higher price point than most electronic earmuffs, $149.99 and $199.99 MSRP respectively, but there are a lot of strong attributes behind those retail prices.

Black Aces Tactical is always known for pushing the envelope on edgy, high curb appeal configurations and accessories for shotguns. Badger Ordnance has two pretty unique products that came out this year that will suit black gun enthusiasts as well as bolt-action rifle shooters. One is a Condition 1 Safety Selector for AR-15s while the other is an M-LOK Rail that can be inletted into bolt-action rifle stocks to allow for the addition of M-LOK accessories.

The Civilian Marksmanship Program has received the first batch of surplus 1911 pistols. As directed by the  2018 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), passed back in November, the US Army has transfered a consignment of 8,000 pistols to the CMP.

Last week we reported that Remington was seeking financing to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. On Monday the iconic gunmaker announced a financing deal had been agreed with its creditors. A Restructuring Support Agreement has been announced that will reduce approximately $700 million worth of Remington Outdoor Company’s consolidated outstanding debt.

Archon Firearms, formerly known as Arsenal Firearms USA, showed off to the public their Type B pistol, also formerly known as the Stryk B pistol, at SHOT Show’s Industry Day at the Range. To avoid a potential trademark dispute which would have delayed the introduction of this pistol even longer, Archon Firearms decided to re-brand themselves and the pistol.

FN America has announced that FN’s new SCAR-SC is now available for purchase for US law enforcement agencies at all levels. The subcompact carbine was first  unveiled last year at Milipol 2017 in Paris by FN America’s parent company, FN Herstal.
