Medwell Precision Rifles (MPR) a British company, has used the IWA Outdoor Classic International Trade Fair in Nuremberg, Germany to introduce their two new high performance precision rifles, the Vanquish and Wraith.

Century Arms has achieved a lot of adulation for their C39V2 AK-47 rifle. Now they are ushering this into the world of pistols with the introduction of the C39V2 Pistol with a Shockwave Blade. The stout power and compact package that this will provide for AK enthusiasts makes it perfect as a truck gun, for home defense, rogue zombies or just general range fun.

Aimpoint has announced that they have won a large contract to supply sights to Berlin’s Police at the 2018 Enforce Tac coverage from the Nürnberg Messe. The Swedish company revealed that they will be supplying the Berliner Polizei with 3,800 Aimpoint CompM4 red dot sights. The sights will primarily be mounted on Berlin Police’s HK MP5s.

Every year Smith & Wesson hosts a very unique fundraising event that has a two-fold purpose. For one, it helps bring awareness to big game hunting, and more importantly, bringing your harvest to the dinner table in delicious ways. The Department of Justice has announced it is seeking to reclassify rifles fitted with bump stocks as ‘machine guns’. This would see the wording of the National Firearms Act and Gun Control Act amended to include ‘bump stock type devices’.

Smith & Wesson’s parent company, American Outdoor Brands Corporation, released its Third Quarter Fiscal 2018 Financial Results on 1st March announcing a substantial fall in sales. The company expects ‘flattish’ revenues from the firearms sector for at least the next 12 to 18 months.

Following up their recent release of their first defensive pistol, the Titan Operator 1911, Atlas Gunworks have unveiled what they claim is “the ultimate competition pistol”, the Nemesis. The Nemesis is what Atlas describe as a “full custom 2011 in fit and finish” combining features from the 1911 with a double stack magazine, a lightened slide and custom parts.

Federal Premium is one of the largest ammunition manufacturers throughout the world and is often one of the most sought after as well. From weekend range warriors to the men and women that serve and protect our country, Federal Premium makes ammunition for everybody. Very recently they were awarded a domestic ammunition contract to supply the US Naval Surface Warfare Center – Crane Divison, operated under the U.S. Navy’s Naval Sea Systems Command. This ammunition contract was in the amount of $20 Million over the course of 5 years. The contract begins this year in 2018 and they are expected to deliver .40 S&W frangible rounds, specifically with Federal Premium’s lead-free Catalyst high-performance primer.

Umarex has released an image of an upcoming new product that will be introduced during the IWA 2018 arms exhibition held in Nuremberg, Germany. This is a .50 caliber CO2 revolver which Umarex markets as a home defense gun. It is called HRD 50.

Nighthawk Custom is known for their firearm masterpieces that are borderline pieces of artwork. An equally prestigious arms maker in his own right is Doug Turnbull of Turnbull Restoration. If you combine the ability and craftsmanship of these two entities, you could get something truly incredible. When Federal Premium announced their 3rd Degree turkey loads it put much of the ammunition industry on alert. The idea of putting 3 different shot sizes into one shell sounded like a garbage idea, literally.

At SHOT Show 2018, Henry Repeating Arms put on auction their One-Millionth H001 Lever-Action ever produced as part of a much larger charity effort. At whatever price the gavel would eventually fall on, all of the proceeds would go to the Hunting Heritage Trust. The annual event of the SHOT Show Auction has drawn some very large bids before, but Henry was about to set a tremendous record this year.

The Kahr Arms Group has collaborated with Outlaw Ordnance to produce a limited run of a one-of-a-kind Desert Eagle 1911. This 1911 is emblazoned with a special cerakote finish, custom features and is being dubbed the “We The People” Desert Eagle 1911 CSS.

Accu-Tac has released a new heavy duty version of their aluminum bipods. The new bipod is called HD-50 and it is designed for rifles chambered in .50 BMG caliber. Because of the heavy weight of .50 BMG weapons and high stresses associated with the recoil of the .50 BMG round, Accu-Tac has incorporated some design changes into the new bipod’s construction.

I have to admit that I’m not previously familiar with the products of TRACT Optics, but their new TORIC sights for long range shooting looks very interesting at an affordable price.

Tromix Lead Delivery Systems, one of the pioneers of big bore AR-15 rifles and ammunition, has introduced a new linear muzzle brake for large caliber AR-15 rifles such as those chambered in .458 SOCOM, .450 Bushmaster and .375 SOCOM. This muzzle brake is a two-piece design. Its base part is the outer tube which attaches to the muzzle and the internal part is screwed into the tube. Such layout makes it easier to clean this muzzle device.

ZEV Technologies has unveiled a new compensator for Glock pistols. Specifically designed for the Glock 19, the new ZEV PRO Compensator can be mounted on any Glock with a 1/2 x 28 threaded barrel.

Daniel Defense has a history of manufacturing marvelous rifles and has even produced a few pistols. Their newest introduction like all others is made in the USA, but also melds a Law Tactical Folding Adapter as an additional upgrade. This pistol is the DDM4V7 P, and it has aptly received that name because it is a pistol iteration of their DDM4V7 rifle.

Brownells now makes lightweight AR-15 bolt carrier groups. While the bolt itself is a standard one, the bolt carrier has been lightened by cutting and machining out the material and leaving just enough to make it functional. As a result, the new BCG weighs 8.2 ounces.

Steyr Mannlicher has introduced a new family of bolt-action rifles called Steyr Carbon. Judging by the model designations, these are most likely the Steyr SM12 and CL II rifles except equipped with carbon fiber stocks made by a company called  Fine Ballistic Tools (FBT). However, these rifles are marketed and listed on the company’s website not as options of the mentioned rifles but as separate models.

Georgia-based MasterPiece Arms (MPA) has introduced a new compact bolt action rifle, designed to be stored with a minimal footprint. The MUT or Micro Urban Tactical rifle has a number of features designed to reduce its overall length.

For that group of people who have affectionately loved the B Series from afar, but did not have a rifle to fit their stature or left-handed nature, consider this your invitation to the party. Savage Arms is now producing the rimfire B Series of rifles in both Left-Hand and Compact offerings.

Brownells has released new Glock slides which have the length of Glock 17 slide but are designed to fit Glock 19 frames. By installing these slides on your G19 pistol you will get a full-size pistol length slide with the compact grip.

Phoenix Weaponry has introduced a new integrally suppressed bolt action rifle chambered in .338-06 A-Square. Although the rifle is built on a Remington 700 action, the company can build it on other actions too.

Federal Premium recently went back to the drawing board to see if they could improve upon a time-tested standard for handgun defense loads. After extensive testing and some minor, meaningful changes they have developed the Hydra-Shok Deep defense load; an improved variant of the staple Hydra-Shok round.

TorkMag had a new product on display at the 2018 SHOT Show but not much info was available to us then, well they’ve finally released details on their Facebook page. They’re calling it the 1911-Block .45ACP Magwell Adapter and as the name implies it’s a conversion kit that allows you to use .45ACP 1911 magazines in your AR-15 lower receiver.
