Navy Arms Co makes the SRM1216. It is a semi auto bullpup shotgun that has a 4 tube magazine. At the Great American Outdoor Show, they had their latest version of the SRM shotgun. The SRM1228 is a 12 gauge just like the SRM1216 but it has been modified to shoot 12 gauge Aguila mini shells.

While walking the aisles at the Great American Outdoor Show, I came across these at the Inland Mfg booth. Ohio based Inland Manufacturing are the guys behind the reproduction M1 Carbines and are also collaborating with Ithaca to make reproduction M37 trench shotguns.Inland Manufacturing is following the recent trend and offering short barreled versions of their shotguns and calling the line the Stakeout.

The theme for this year’s SHOT Show 2018 (for this writer, at least) was the focus on the female shooter. Not surprisingly, there were more female-centered booths this year than any other year in SHOT Show history. One such booth was the Girls With Guns (GWG) booth.

Or maybe he is so good he just wants to give himself a handicap to make the game more challenging. With this setup, he could compete in tac limited division since he is running a pump action shotgun and a non-magnified optic on his AR. Depending on the stage design this might not be a terrible setup. If the targets are not far out then the short barrel won’t make a difference. Reloading the shotgun would be tedious with such small capacity but he could switch to the handgun and make up for the shotgun.

Turkish company Derya brought two variants of their new bullpup shotgun to SHOT 2018. The N-100 and N-200 are both semiautomatic, magazine-fed, bullpup shotguns that Derya is awaiting ATF approval for importation into the United States. The Napoli/N series uses Derya 5 or 10 shell magazines (10 shell ones were present at SHOT) and is currently chambered in 12 gauge, but has also been in .410 as well. The design uses some of AR15 parts as well, to include an AR magazine release, bolt release, and AR pistol grip. In addition to this, the design also uses QD mounts as well.

During the SHOT Show 2018, Charles Daly has introduced new pump action shotguns called Honcho. One of these shotguns is available in 12 gauge or 20 gauge chamberings. The second one is chambered in .410 bore (see the top image) and it has a spring assisted action.

I am sure many of you have seen and heard about the Mossberg 590M? Like you I wondered who made the magazine. I doubted Mossberg came up with a magazine so quickly. Well if only I had looked under the magazine my questions would have been immediately answered.

Adler Hunting Arms company, the Turkish shotgun manufacturer mostly known for their lever actions (and many rustled jimmies down under) have introduced a bullpup version of their 12ga. J210 “vertical magazine shotgun”, and an entire new line of .410 shotguns as well.  

Remington always has one of the largest booths since it includes DPMS, Bushmaster, Marlin, and AAC. At SHOT Show 2018 they were showcasing their magazine fed 870 DM with a simulated shoot off competition.

A company you may have not heard of, but have absolutely seen their work in numerous films for decades is Independent Studio Services (ISS). This 3rd generation, family business got its start in 1977 by the way of Greg Bilson, Sr and the family business is making firearms for Hollywood!

Boyd’s Stocks has updated their At-One line of laminate adjustable stock sets to include Remington and Mossberg pump shotguns. With prices hovering somewhere around $200 for the stock and forend combination, potential buyers can pick from traditional wood colors to an eye catching zombie green. We had a chance to play with the features of the At-One stock sets and, just like last year, the quality top notch.

One only needs to spend a minute or two at the Lauer Weaponry/DuraCoat booth to instantly recognize why the company is absolutely thriving.

Brownells breaks into the manufacturing market with a new line of Retro AR-15s. All rifles are 100% newly manufactured parts, and four models were debuted at SHOT Show’s Industry Day at the Range 2018.

Keith Garcia is a phenomenal 3Gun competitor. My friend Brian M. mentioned that Keith Garcia has lighting fast hands when it comes to 3Gun. “He can reload a tube fed shotgun probably faster than I can reload my Vepr12” and Brian is no slouch in 3Gun.  Just to give you an idea here is a video from Keith Garcia’s instagram page.

Since the announcement last week, there has been a lot of rumor and speculation about the secret behind Franklin Armory’s Reformation. Many people thought that since Franklin Armory is known for their Binary Trigger, then the NFA work around must be trigger related. This is incorrect. The Binary Trigger has been out for a while now and does not alter the classification of the rifles or pistols you install then into. But wait, what about “release” triggers. Ok those do exist and are most commonly found in competition Trap or Skeet shotguns. However they are still considered shotguns.

How many times can the 100+ year old pump action shotgun design be refined to keep shooters interested? Who knows, but it is pretty clear that we have yet to see any signs of hitting a wall. On its surface, the Mossberg 590M simply looks like a modified tube fed shotgun that accepts magazines, much like other scattergun platforms have done for decades.

At first glance, Mossberg’s new 590M magazine-fed shotgun is a progression of their popular and reliable scatterguns. Look a little closer, however, and you will see some potentially industry-changing technology: the new magazines come in double-stack form. In capacities ranging from five to 20 rounds, the thick form factor allows for high shell capacities without the excessive length found in other mag-fed shotgun platforms.

Unfortunately these Pepper Ball guns are not available for civilians. However there is something new that you can own.

Good morning scattergun fans. In an unexpected twist, it appears that IWI is set to release the TS12 – a 12 gauge bullpup shotgun with a maximum shell capacity of 26 rounds. Twenty. Six. Rounds. (Correction: 15+1*) Obviously, as with most leaked information, details are slim at the moment, however I was able to pick out some of the TS12’s more defining features from the below catalog images. First and foremost, it is a gas operated semi automatic weapon with three rotating magazine tubes and ejection of spent shell can be adjusted from left to right as needed.

In the Soviet Union, arms designing was almost exclusively done in government armories and design bureaus. And only on very rare occasions, individuals could be licensed to design firearms. This article tells about one of such independent designers – a gentleman named Firs Barkanov. The article is based on the story published by the Kalashnikov Gun Magazine. Mikhail Degtyaryov, the chief editor of that magazine, kindly provided us the rights to use the content.

Earlier we have reported that  Retay Arms Masai Mara shotgun will become available for the US market. Among a number of advertised features, there is one which is especially interesting.
