Reader's Choice Semi-Auto Shotgun Winner: Benelli M4 Tactical

Many of you called the winner in the comments… But what is interesting is that the Winchester SX4 Models far outsold the M4 Tactical, as did the Beretta A300 line. Not that we are remotely considering this process scientific. And I would wager that our readership tends more toward the sexy tactical-esque weapons over tried and true hunting guns.

Mossberg introduced the magazine fed variation of their 590 line. The 590M, M for magazine fed. The Mossberg 590 (based off their 500) is a proven, solid design. F*** THE NFA: Remington V3 TAC-13 Scattergun

The nonNFA scattergun market has boomed in just the last two years. Heck, these shot shell packers aren’t even classified as shotguns – with an overall length of 26+ inches, a smooth bore and being born without a shoulder stock, they are classified simply as firearms. Legally, shotguns with barrels less than 18 inches in length fall into the $200, tax stamp, fingerprints and six-month wait time category. Today we welcome a new firearm into the short barreled 12 gauge world – the Remington V3 TAC-13.

Standard Manufacturing has released the shortest version of their SKO semi-auto shotguns – the SKO Mini. TFBTV: Top 10 Best Selling Long Guns (of Summer '18)

In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves looks at the 10 best selling rifles and shotguns of Summer 2018. These results were taken from a survey of over 300 stores during a 3 month sales period this summer. Ruger makes a very strong showing, and there’s also guns from Remington, Smith and Wesson, Mossberg, Springfield, and even Kel-Tec. There are some surprising makes and models in this list, why do you think some of these guns made it while others didn’t? This list isn’t exact because James had to parse a list of nearly 2500 guns to find all of the SKUs per each particular model and add them together, but it should be an accurate representation of the summer’s hottest long guns.

Federal Premium Launches NEW Gold Medal Grand Paper Hull Shotgun Shells

Lately Federal Premium has been taking a lot of their ammunition offerings and modifying them to be even better than before. This has now extended into their Gold Medal Grand Paper Hull shotgun shells. Where some people might tread on the edge of safety with the phrase if it’s not broke, don’t fix it. The Bangkok Gun District in Thailand

Wedged in between the streets of the busiest and biggest city in Thailand is the gun market district in Bangkok. Here you have dozens of stores that selling everything ranging from the cheapest Chinese tactical garbage to high-end side by side shotguns or semiautomatic race guns that Thais compete in IPSC and IDPA competitions with throughout the entire country. Although many of the stores are quite camera shy for some reason, we were able to get in touch with one of them that allowed us to film some of their wares that were on display. We looked at some of the handguns, shotguns, and precision rifles that were for sale at a very steep price for the average Thai citizen. In addition we were also able to combine this footage with actual competitions and shooting activities that we were able to join in on while in Thailand.

Federal Premium Hi-Bird Upland: Better Control for More Long Distance Birds

When it comes to upland bird hunting, we are always trying to squeak the most performance out of our gear. Whether we are hunting grouse, quail, dove, ptarmigan or pheasants we want the best to ensure our tags are filled and our crockpots are overflowing. This can come in the context of buying new shotguns because… I would have dusted that pheasant if my shotgun didn’t fail me! Or new ammunition because… My aim was right on! The ammo never got there! Whatever the case may be (or helps hunters sleep at night), Federal Premium is hoping you look to them to fill any gaps you have in the ammunition department with new options in their HI-BIRD UPLAND shotgun shells.
