The Mossberg Shockwave with wooden furniture is now available for purchase … and it is called Nightstick. The company has recently announced the availability of this pump-action shotgun firearm on their social media pages. Besides the wooden furniture, the Nightstick also comes with a leather forearm strap instead of the nylon one that Shockwaves come with.

Many of you called the winner in the comments… But what is interesting is that the Winchester SX4 Models far outsold the M4 Tactical, as did the Beretta A300 line. Not that we are remotely considering this process scientific. And I would wager that our readership tends more toward the sexy tactical-esque weapons over tried and true hunting guns.

Mossberg introduced the magazine fed variation of their 590 line. The 590M, M for magazine fed. The Mossberg 590 (based off their 500) is a proven, solid design. This platform has been popular in both civilian and military/LEO populations. With this proven history, I will focus on what is new and different. Specifically the magazine and the handle. Mass produced detachable-magazine fed pump action shotguns are a newer trend. Lets us see how well Mossberg did it.

This past summer I had a chance to visit Montana to ride Honda off-road vehicles and play with some firearms for our sister site, ATV.com. The non– NFA scattergun market has boomed in just the last two years. Heck, these shot shell packers aren’t even classified as shotguns – with an overall length of 26+ inches, a smooth bore and being born without a shoulder stock, they are classified simply as firearms. Legally, shotguns with barrels less than 18 inches in length fall into the $200, tax stamp, fingerprints and six-month wait time category. Italian shotgun manufacturer Caesar Guerini has introduced to US market limited edition versions of their Maxum Sporting over and under shotguns. These are high-end shotguns with beautiful wood and engraving. They are available chambered in 12 gauge only and offered with two barrel length options: 30″ and 32″.

Advanced Armament Corporation has introduced a new shotgun flash hider called Brakeout 2.0 SG12. It is designed for Remington 870, 1100, 11-87, V3 shotguns or any other 12 gauge shotgun that utilizes choke tubes compatible with Rem Choke thread pitch. In the image embedded below, you can see that the flash signature reduction is really impressive compared to the bare muzzle.

Lately Federal Premium has been taking a lot of their ammunition offerings and modifying them to be even better than before. This has now extended into their Gold Medal Grand Paper Hull shotgun shells. Where some people might tread on the edge of safety with the phrase if it’s not broke, don’t fix it. Browning have introduced the latest in their line of Citori over and under sporting shotguns. The 12 gauge Citori White Lightning combines a silver nitride finished steel receiver with intricate engraving, polished blued barrels, oil finish grade III or IV walnut furniture and extended black band Invector-Plus choke tubes.

Here you have dozens of stores that selling everything ranging from the cheapest Chinese tactical garbage to high-end side by side shotguns or semiautomatic race guns that Thais compete in IPSC and IDPA competitions with throughout the entire country. Although many of the stores are quite camera shy for some reason, we were able to get in touch with one of them that allowed us to film some of their wares that were on display. We looked at some of the handguns, shotguns, and precision rifles that were for sale at a very steep price for the average Thai citizen. In addition we were also able to combine this footage with actual competitions and shooting activities that we were able to join in on while in Thailand.
