To their credit, they generally lean into this characterization. Oracle Arms Launching at SHOT Show 2023 with 2311 Pistol

There have been more than a few attempts made to modernize the venerable 1911 over the years. While the inimitable John Moses Browning’s 111-year-old original design has a veritable host of fanatical adherents who display no compunction in declaring that the 1911 needs no updating as it is the perfect creation of God himself, not all shooters concur. Some want different calibers or other features offered by the swath of 2011 variants that have cropped up in recent years. Some manufacturers have taken things a step further and fully hybridized the 1911, like Dan Wesson with CZ in their DWX. Now a new player is emerging in the 1911-of-the-future game. Meet Oracle Arms and their new 2311 handgun, launching soon at SHOT Show 2023.

Concealed Carry Corner: Ammo Versus Accessories

Welcome back to another edition of Concealed Carry Corner. Last week, we talked about some of the tips I wish I would have known sooner. To check out my article from last week be sure to check out the link here. A new carry gun was released and I put it up on my social media pages to get everyone’s take on it. People were immediately upset about the lack of an optics cut or bottom accessory rail. It started getting me thinking about what’s important when it comes to concealed carry. Let’s take a closer look at what’s more important ammo versus accessories.

The Glock 47 is Coming in 2023!

Originally introduced quietly by Glock in 2019, the Glock 47 was a contract-only gun for Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection agents. A full-size 9mm pistol with a 17-round capacity and the Glock MOS optics mounting system, the Glock 47 is similar to the Glock 17 MOS – almost identical, on paper. But the Glock 47 has a few tricks up its sleeve. Using a Glock 45 frame, the Glock 47 has the ability to also accept Glock 19 slides. Moreover, the Glock 47 slide is compatible with Glock 19 frames, meaning that the G47 gives you unofficial access to the long-awaited factory Glock 19L “long slide.”
