Bond Arms is one of the most well-known names when it comes to Derringer-style handguns. Just a few months ago we reviewed one of their lower-cost Roughneck style derringers that features an interchangeable barrel making it easy to swap between 9mm and 357magnum barrels and chambers. Today Bond Arms has just announced the introduction of two new rimfire variants of their handguns with the release of the Stinger and Rawhide 22LR pistols. Similar to the Roughneck series, these new miniature hand cannons feature the rough series stainless steel finish, polymer grips, and a more affordable price point than some of the more premium options from Bond Arms.

For most guys out there it’s a goal to get their spouse into shooting so it can be an activity for both to enjoy. That’s easier said than done in most cases but with a little practice and confidence boosting, it’s more than possible to be a couple who actively trains and concealed carries. Let’s take a look at some of the benefits of carrying as a couple.

The first volume of three books looking at the firearms of Heckler & Koch from Vickers Guide is now shipping. The new series of books was first announced six months ago and in a recent update the publisher confirmed that: “books have arrived at our warehouse and begin shipping on Monday! We appreciate everyone’s patience with this round of pre-orders, and we are excited to see that these books arrived a couple weeks before we expected them!” The Heckler & Koch Vickers Guide books are available in a number of configurations, with the following options available:  Standard Edition,  Signature Edition and  Slipcase Edition (unsigned) with MSRP starting at $98.

Florian Kohli, the designer of the Swiss KUGS company’s firearms, has an interesting outside-the-box approach to designing firearms and his guns normally have unconventional features and general design. For example, his  KUGS Fatboy single-shot rifle  that we took a look at earlier, has an extremely simplified design and features like a fully threaded barrel and artillery-style sliding breech. What we have for today’s Wheelgun Wednesday is another unusual gun by Florian, an 18-shot 410 Bore pepperbox called HD410. Now, pepperboxes are pretty much extinct species of wheelguns and a modern pepperbox is not something we see too often, to begin with. On top of that, like other Kohli guns, the HD410 is not a common specimen due to its size and design features such as the lack of a trigger and the overpressure safety built into the cylinder. Sounds interesting, doesn’t it? If it does, then let’s take a closer look at the design of the KUGS HD410 pepperbox.

Ascalon Arms is a firearm accessories manufacturer from Brno, Czech Republic, founded by Jiří Šlechta, a former handgun designer at CZUB. The company is specialized in making aftermarket parts for CZ firearms. Their newest product called Last Round Backstrap is a rather interesting accessory for CZ P-10C pistols. It’s a backstrap that can store a 9x19mm round inside it!

SK Customs announced a Mexican Revolution-themed series of 1911 pistols called La Revolución with the first gun in the series being the Pancho Villa limited-edition pistol. They’re all going to be chambered in .38 Super, with a high-polished frame, slide, barrel and hardware engraved with selective silver and gold plating on the slide. Pancho Villa (1878-1923) was a Mexican revolutionary and guerilla leader, and one of the most important characters of the Mexican Revolution.

It’s finally here: James Reeves reviews the Kel-Tec P15 that Kel-Tec teased at SHOT Show 2022, and it’s actually starting to roll out from the factory. The P15 is the smallest, lightest doublestack 9mm handgun on the market and it might be the cheapest micro-compact, too, for $450 MSRP including factory night sights. Photo Of The Day: Just a few months ago Smith & Wesson announced the release of M&P9 M2.0 METAL. The pistol features an optics-ready T6 Aluminum frame in a Tungsten Gray Cerakote finish. Externally it’s similar to its polymer counterpart with full compatibility with standard M&P9 M2.0 slides, magazines, palm swells and holsters. In this POTD you can find a few images not available at the release.

VK Integrated Systems has announced the VK320 grip module for the SIG Sauer P320 family of handguns. You can order it in black or tan, in full or EDC/Carry sizes, with the safety cut or without. The new grip modules have VK Integrated Systems’ logotype as a grip pattern and the backstraps are interchangeable. This product is made in the USA and is said to be compatible with all standard holsters and magazine base pads made for the P320.

Over the last few years, SIG has really proved the versatility of the P320 platform. In past articles, I’ve looked at the various aftermarket compensators like the Parker Mountain Machine JTTC compensators and shown they are effective at reducing muzzle rise and felt recoil. SIG has decided to throw their hat in the ring with a compensated Spectre variant with a lot of interesting features I wanted to test out. Let’s take a closer look at the SIG Sauer P320 Spectre Comp.

Welcome back to another edition of Concealed Carry Corner. Last week we talked about the concept of carrying stock firearms versus carrying fully customized firearms. Welcome to another edition of TFB’s Wheelgun Wednesday, where we discuss all topics revolving around revolvers. Today’s topic comes from gunsmith Dave Lauck, of D&L Sports, in which he addresses one of the main detractors of the design of two-piece barrels for modern revolvers, which is that they can loosen under recoil over time. The most prominent examples of two-piece barrels comes from the popular Smith & Wesson scandium framed Model 300 series, such as the 325, 327 (aka TRR8 and R8), and 329. While there’s no certainty that each revolver with a two-piece barrel will loosen, people have reported this problem, which can lead to less than optimal conditions for accuracy and safety, so let’s take a look at Mr. Lauck’s solution to loose two-piece barrels. 

Icarus Precision has announced the release of a new version of their ACE grip module designed for the latest member of the SIG P365 family of pistols, the SIG P365 X Macro. The latter is the largest and highest-capacity pistol in the P365 series featuring a standard magazine capacity of 17 rounds. Let’s take a look at the features of the new Icarus Precision ACE 365 X Macro grip module.

Magazines are consumable items and when it comes time to replace them, finding affordable replacements can sometimes be difficult. Extar USA, in its mission to keep shooting more affordable, has released its new EM9-18 Glock-pattern 9mm magazines that retail for right around $10, and also feature a few enhancements of their own to make them more reliable and less prone to premature damage and wear. These new magazines are designed to be compatible with all full-size 9mm double-stack Glock handguns in both their compact and sub-compact variants.

Hello and welcome to another edition of The Rimifre Report! This ongoing series is all about the rimfire firearm world and its many guns, sports, history, and more! Last week we talked a bit about fellow writer Rusty S’s well-put-together Tikka T1x 22LR varmint rifle. While I think everyone can appreciate a really nice 22LR varmint slaying rifle, a lot of you seemed to hold the sentiment that there are other rifles out there that are far less expensive that can probably still take to the task more affordably, and you’re probably all 100% right. I’m all for optimizing setups including my 22LR rifles and pistols and this often means borrowing other parts and accessories from some of my more expensive rigs. However, one thing I try my best not to borrow from is the suppressors for my centerfire guns. Suppressing firearms chambered in 22LR seems like it might be a dead simple task but if you’re trying to optimize your setup then there are a few basic rules you can follow to keep costs down, maintenance intervals low, and have your auto-loading guns running smoothly. Today on The Rimfire Report we’ll go over a few basic methods you can follow for suppressing 22LR rifles and pistols to get the best results.

CZ has announced the “Order of the White Lion” edition of the CZ 75 pistol, which will be manufactured over the next year. As you can see from the images, the CZ 75 Order of the White Lion edition pistol is decorated with Czech national symbols, like the linden tree leaves and the double-tailed lion. The pistol grips are made from birch root.

Springfield Armory is now offering their Hellcat Pro 9x19mm CCW pistol in Desert FDE. The frame is molded from the polymer in Desert FDE, and the slide uses a matched Cerakote finish. Apart from looking great in this color, the slide is Optics Ready using the Springfield Micro footprint.

With the expansion of the Glock compact line of pistols, there are more options than ever from Glock to fit any occasion. In the past, I’ve looked at the Glock 43 and 43X line of pistols but recently I decided to pick up the new Glock 48 MOS to check out the latest offering from Glock. With the overall dimensions being similar to other models, is there a place for the Glock 48 in the lineup? The 26th President of the United States of America, Theodore Roosevelt, was quite fond of both Colt revolvers and Winchester lever-action rifles. However, during the summer of 1898, then Assistant Secretary of the Navy (under President William McKinley), resigned from his prestigious position to instead be part of the action in the upcoming Spanish-American war. Roosevelt was officially commissioned as a Lt. Colonel for the 1st U.S. Volunteer Calvary and eventually traveled to San Antonio, Texas to train the Rough Riders. It was during this time that factory records show that this Smith & Wesson Model No. 3 revolver was shipped to him with detailing and engraving purportedly done by Gustave Young. This historically significant wheelgun is now being offered up as part of Rock Island Auction Company’s Premier Firearms Auction #87.
