After what seems like an eternity, SureFire has finally released its first-ever low back pressure suppressor – the new SOCOM RC3. Much like the previous two suppressors in the SOCOM line, the new RC3 boasts industry-leading durability, and near identical specifications and features as the RC2 but with the added bonus of 60% less back pressure than the RC2 making it more suitable for shooting indoors, as well as reducing the overall amount of gas and toxins being directed back at the shooter. SureFire brought out a few media outlets including TFB to Ridgeline Defense in New Hampshire at an event they dubbed the RC3 Rally to get us all a chance to run the RC3 in various shooting situations to showcase its capabilities and durability. Today I’ll share with you my initial impressions of the suppressor and you can be sure that there will also be coverage on TFBTV from James Reeves and a future installment of Silencer Saturday from our Editor in Chief Pete.

The National Association for Gun Rights won a major victory in their case defending forced reset triggers (FRTs). A district court in Texas just granted a preliminary injunction against the ATF that prevents them from treating FRTs as machine guns. However, this is not the end of the forced reset trigger fight.

In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves is lucky enough to get a sneak preview of the Surefire RC3. The Surefire RC/SOCOM series of suppressors is well known as being a favorite among special forces operators for excellent flash suppression, minimal point-of-aim/point-of-impact shift, and durability. Surefire is bringing this battle-proven line of silencers to the next level by introducing a redesigned successor, the RC3, which reduces backpressure by a whopping 60%. Gemtech have announced the addition of a 7.62mm suppressor to their Abyss range. The full auto-rated can is made from 17-4PH Stainless Steel and 6AL4V Titanium and weighs in at 16.3oz. The Abyss 7.62 is designed for calibers ranging from 5.7X28 to 300WM. It is available at $945.00 MSRP.

We all share the love for the Heckler & Koch MP5 SD I assume, and here it got a coat of MIM&TECH Anti-IR Temporary spray paint (TCC). Now it’s “silent” for the eyes as well, so cannot (almost) be heard or seen. I haven’t tried these products myself, but they do look quite interesting.

Folks, you’re not gonna believe this – Silencer Central has done it again with their brand new BUCK 30 suppressor! As you know, Silencer Central is dedicated to making the silencer buying process as easy and hassle-free as possible. Well their new BUCK 30 model, made in partnership with Buck Commander, looks to be another smooth-shooting addition to their line-up.

Texas-based Radical Defense have announced their General Purpose Suppressor (GPS). The 3D-printed can is full-auto rated and weighs in at 23.5oz. The can is designed for calibres ranging from 7.62 to 8.6mm and is made from Haynes 282, a nickel-based alloy. MSRP on the GPS is $1499.

James Reeves is at TriggrCon 2023 at the MCM Firearms booth to talk about the Delta S DS9 Integrally Suppressed Upper. The DS9 takes design language from other highly successful integrally suppressed designs to give their customers a unique combination of magazine options, ammunition performance, and ease of maintenance. The Delta S DS9 upper features a detachable monocore suppressor, along with a ported barrel for the best performance across a wide variety of 9mm ammunition.

HUXWRX Safety Company, formerly known as OSS Suppressors, has earned every right to say ‘I told you so’ to a large swath of the suppressor industry. B&T USA have announced a limited run of APC9K SD2, a scalably suppressed APC9K which was offered to the US Army’s Sub Compact Weapon program. Back in April 2019, B&T won the new Sub Compact Weapon contract in competition with five other companies. The conventional APC9K was selected and B&T were awarded an initial order for 350 guns. Since then the USAF has also procured a number of the SCWs.
