SilencerCo have announced the Gas Defeating Charging Handle, with the aim of reducing the amount of gas which blows back into the shooter’s face when firing a suppressed AR-15. The new ambidextrous charging handle incorporates a gas seal to prevent gas from leaving the receiver through the charging handle slot. The GDCH has an MSRP of $114.00.

Photo Of The Day and we’re going to have a look at various pictures from a new company called Silent Steel Suppressors. They’re from Finland and they manufacture suppressors. In Finland and Norway sound suppressors for firearms are license-free, and by the looks of it, Sweden might get similar legislation by this summer.

One of the more intriguing firearms from SHOT Show 2022 was the Czech Weapons CSV-9, a modular 9mm pistol caliber carbine from the Czech Republic. Four Peaks Imports of Arizona is going to be importing small batches of these in pistol form and in at least two configurations, and  Czech Weapons’ website lists a number of different “Versions” of the CSV-9 that can be run on a single receiver.

Compact and light, rifle caliber personal defense weapons (PDWs) are a compromise to pistol caliber carbines or submachine guns. Unfortunately, short barrel rifles can leave cartridges designed for longer barrels anemic when it comes to terminal performance. MAXIM Defense Short Barrel Ammunition is designed to create wound cavities that outperform expanding and fragmenting rounds and can tumble at velocities down to 500 fps. MAXIM Defense also just released a line of suppressor-friendly frangible ammunition that can be shot on steel targets at very short distances.

Maxim Defense was probably the company with the most new products released at SHOT Show 2022. They have updated their line of MD-15 rifles, introduced an entirely new suppressor product line, released a new AR10 pattern rifle called MD11 … pretty much everything in their booth was new. Precision Armament is jumping headfirst into the silencer market with their new AeroMod 22+ suppressor.  This newest addition to their lineup is a completely modular and multi-caliber rated suppressor.  During SHOT 2022 I had a chance to sit down with their product team and have them walk me through the brand new AeroMod 22+ Suppressor.

The concept of a suppressor wrap or suppressor cover isn’t a new one and technically the MODTAC Rigid suppressor cover isn’t new either. However, the cover is new for me and is also new to the Daniel Defense Delta 5 Pro bolt action rifle. So what makes the MODTAC Rigid suppressor cover so special? First off, most suppressor covers accomplish their job by being made out of extremely heat-resistant material similar to an oven mitt. However, these materials have their limits and still transfer heat directly through the medium into your hand after a certain threshold. The MODTAC Rigid suppressor cover takes a different approach and at the same time, reduces the weight that you’ll have to carry around for the benefits.

Although like many large companies Nosler was not exhibiting at the SHOT Show 2022, their new suppressor line was announced during the show and probably was initially intended to be released at SHOT. This new product line currently consists of 5.56/.223 and .30 caliber rifle suppressors offered in full-titanium or titanium/aluminum tube material options. Hop is at SHOT Show 2022 Range Day to speak to Silencer Central about their new Banish 46 and 338 suppressors.

OSS, well known for their flow-through suppressors, rebranded to Huxwrx shortly before SHOT.  IN fact, it was so close to the start of the event that they were a bit hard to find, still being listed as OSS on most SHOT resources.

MarColMar Firearms is best known for their revival of the CETME L rifle. This unique gun was used by the Spanish and traces its lineage back to certain other stamped steel roller delayed firearms, though it has its own personality.

B&T unveiled a massive new lineup of silencers and a new 9mm sub-gun at SHOT Show 2022.  On display were silencers that ranged from rimfire to belt-fed rated, as well as the new SPC9 chambered in 9mm.  Here’s a full guide to what’s new and coming very soon from B&T.

In this episode of TFBTV, James Reeves is at Industry Day at the Range with Aero checking out their new line of house-made suppressors. The Lahar 30 will come in a direct thread and QD configuration to the market. For anyone who’s already invested in a different mounting system, you need not worry. The rear of the silencer will accept any industry-standard 1.375×24 mounting option.

AERO Precision unveiled two entirely new additions to their lineup at SHOT 2022.  Announced for the first time was the Lahar 30 silencer, and A700 bolt action rifle.  While the silencer was on display at range day I got my first look at the A700 on the SHOT show floor today.

LMT unveiled the newest addition to its lineup with the MARS-L9.  The L9 incorporates features from the legendary MARS family of rifles and looks to make a big splash in the PCC market.  I had the chance to shoot the MARS-L9 and talk with LMT about it during Shot Show’s Industry Day at the Range.
