Hard Head Veterans, a veteran-owned and operated helmet manufacturing company, announces the launch of the HHV ATE GEN3 Ballistic Helmet. Palmetto State Armory’s sub-brand Harrington & Richardson has a pair of new retro pistols for sale. These new models feature an arm brace that mimics the look of the classic CAR-15 stock while still being intended for single-handed use. It is adjustable for the length of pull and has a QD sling cup in the rear of the brace for shooting with sling tension.

Vermont’s state leadership has moved to allow hunting with a suppressor in the state indefinitely, thanks to a law passed at the start of June. Some readers may recall that this is actually the culmination of a process that started quite a while back. In 2021, Vermont’s legislators considered the Hearing Protection Act which proposed suppressors be legalized for hunting. The politicians did eventually legalize hunting with a suppressor in June of 2022, but that law was set to expire after two years.

Reports from San Antonio, Texas, say one of the city’s police officers is on “indefinite suspension” after taking firearms home from a so-called “buyback” event. According to a write-up from Emilie Eaton, a writer for the San Antonio Express-News, Officer David Mahula was handed that indefinite suspension on May 9 for breaking the police department’s administrative rules—essentially, he’s been fired, says Eaton.

Well, this is awkward. How badly, you ask? Fort Moore wants the pistols back so badly that they’re offering a $5,000 reward for info that cracks the case, as they believe the pistols were stolen.

Colt Canada have unveiled their C8A4 at the CANSEC 2024 trade fair in Ottawa. The new rifle is seeking to fulfill the Canadian Army’s ‘Canadian Modular Assault Rifle’ requirement which has been shaping up over the last couple of years. The ‘Canadian Modular Assault Rifle’ project is the latest element of the Canadian armed forces’ small arms modernization program which has seen the adoption of the SIG Sauer P320 as the C22 to replace the long-service Browning Hi-Power and the adoption of the C20 designated marksman rifle.

Springfield Armory debuted their Hellcat pistol as the “world’s highest capacity, micro-compact” several years ago, and they have been building out that family of pistols ever since. This includes their Hellcat RDP (Rapid Defense Package), Hellcat Pro (longer barrel, longer grip), and OSP variants (“Optical Sight Pistol” – optics ready). Now, they have announced the most feature-rich iteration yet with the unveiling of the Hellcat Pro Comp OSP.

As a Professional Hoser, I can tell you that the Lee-Enfield is the greatest bolt-action fighting rifle ever made—sorry, Mauser fans, but the record is 2-0. The L42A1 served the British military from 1970 through 1990 and now, Jeff John has a new book published with the life story of this sniper rifle.

SIG Sauer have announced that a P320-M17 version of their ceremonial M17 pistol will be available. The Ceremonial M17s were introduced in October 2018 and have equipped the honor guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier since.

Michigan-based Next Level Armament have announced the introduction of their 6ARC Phoenix Rifle. The new rifle has Helix 6 Precision Carbon Fiber barrels and is available in 16”, 18”, and 20” barrel lengths, all with a 1-7 twist rate.  The 6ARC chambering joins their range which also includes .308, .450 Bushmaster, 5.56×45, 450 Legend, and 9mm. MSRP on the new rifle starts at $3,039.

Dark Mountain Arms is a new firearms manufacturing company (founded in 2023) located in Asheville, North Carolina. Weatherby have released another iteration of their newest Model 307 bolt action rifle called Alpine CT. The new Weatherby Model 307 Alpine CT is built with extensive use of carbon fiber components.
