TFB Review: Fiber Optic XS Sights for Glocks - Worth $60 to Upgrade?
Why a design that is over 40 years old has so deeply and indelibly penetrated the firearms market is a bit perplexing. Everywhere you turn at the gun range, it is Glocks as far as the eye can see. Gaston Glock obviously was onto something because here we are 42 years later deploying them for military, law enforcement, competition, self-defense, and general tomfoolery at the range purposes. One of the hallmark downsides to a factory Glock pistol though are their sights. They are plastic… a dull white color… and prone to breaking if you’re doing one of those YouTube brutality tests for some internet clout.
POTD: Indonesian Marine Shooting a PINDAD
Photo Of The Day - An Indonesian marine provides covering fire with his PINDAD during a fire and movement range at Marine Corps Base Hawaii as part of Exercise Rim of the Pacific 2024, July 8. The Pindad SS1 and SS2 are made under a license from Fabrique Nationale in the PT Pindad factory in Indonesia. Twenty-nine nations, 40 surface ships, three submarines, 14 national land forces, more than 150 aircraft, and 25,000 personnel are participating in and around the Hawaiian Islands from June 27 to Aug. 1.
Russian BRT Dronoboy Anti-UAV Muzzle Attachment
FPV kamikaze drones have really changed the battlefield. They are small, fast, cheap and devastating against infantry and vehicles alike. The Russo-Ukrainian war is probably the conflict where these machines have been used most extensively and ever since the sides started deploying them, they have also been trying to come up with solutions for defense against FPV drones. Arguably the most effective, readily available and affordable counter-FPV tool at the moment is the good old scattergun. However, one major disadvantage of using shotguns is that you need to carry a separate shoulder-fired weapon. Attempts to make more compact and lightweight devices for anti-FPV warfare have resulted in the creation of things like the Ukrainian MSD-5 pepperbox or the 12 gauge barrel inserts for underbarrel grenade launchers. In this article, we’ll take a look at one of the latest anti-drone devices, a rifle attachment called Dronoboy developed by Russian company BRT (one of the leading suppressor manufacturers in Russia).

POTD: Beretta 92XI Combat Series - Vietnam Tiger Stripe
Photo Of The Day and it’s time again for a pistol. Quite unexpectedly (at least for me) Beretta USA have released a Viternam Tiger Striped limited edition of their 92XI pistol. It looks great, so it would be a mistake not to share these images and ask what you think about it?

The New Russian GP-46 Underbarrel Grenade Launcher (40x46mm)
Kalashnikov Concern released a new AK underbarrel grenade launcher called GP-46 (ГП-46). The new launcher is chambered in 40x46mm. Yes, that’s the NATO 40mm low-velocity round, not the Russian 40mm caseless round used in other GP series of underbarrel grenade launchers like the GP-25, GP-30, and GP-34. But no, Russia is not adopting the NATO round as this is a product designed for a foreign customer.
TFB Report: IPSC Rifle World Shoot III - 2024
For over a week, the IPSC Rifle World Shoot III 2024 has been going on in northern Finland. The location was the new and enormous Ruutikangas shooting range, situated near Oulu. Over 840 competitors and Range Officers participated in this huge event, with over 5 days of shooting and 30 challenging stages. As could be expected, Finland offered a match with rifle-long distances, and a lot of free-handed shooting. If you weren’t moving, the targets often did. There was not a lot of shooting on the move, and most of the time the stage was built so that you could not use a support or a long bipod. And if you did, you ran into other disadvantages later in the stage.

The Rimfire Report: CCI's Maxi-Mag 40 gr JHP .22 WMR
Hello and welcome back to another edition of The Rimfire Report! This ongoing series is all about the rimfire firearm world and all of its different types of guns, gear, shooting sports, history, and ammunition. Over the last few months, we’ve been slowly digging and rigorously testing various types of rimfire ammo. My primary mission with this entire series is to provide readers and shooters with a good set of starting data for the types of ammunition they’d likely be buying for their various guns. While everything thus far has been chambered for a .22 Long Rifle, today, we’ll be getting into our first of many .22 WMR tests. First, we’ll be starting with a favorite of mine for years, CCI’s Maxi-Mag 40 gr JHP .22 WMR load.
Federal Court Torpedos Mexican Lawsuit Against Gun Manufacturers
One of the most significant lawsuits in the firearms world has been mostly dismantled in the U.S. Federal District Court. US district judge Dennis Saylor has dismissed the Mexican government’s lawsuit against six American gunmakers, months after it was filed in Massachusetts. However, the $10B lawsuit is not completely gone—there’s still some cleanup to sort out with other parties named in the suit.
