Hello and welcome back to another edition of The Rimfire Report! This ongoing series is about the rimfire firearm world and its different types of guns, shooting sports, history, and ammo! Last week we took a look at the new North American Arms Sentinel swing-out pocket revolver. So far I have to say I am pretty impressed with the tiny little revolver. While the recoil is pretty stout, the shooting experience overall is enjoyable and I’m looking forward to sharing my full review with you guys shortly right here on The Rimfire Report. This week I wanted to get back into our ongoing series of ammunition tests by going back to a classic - CCI Standard Velocity 40-grain. I put the tried and true CCI Standard through the same set of tests I’ve been putting all of the other ammunition through, in the hopes it might provide an anchor point for us to compare CCI’s other offerings to. In this episode of TFBTV, Luke and Hop visit the new S&W facility in Tennessee to shoot a bunch of new guns. And against all odds, the coolest one is a pocket-sized .380? The new Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0 is about the same size as the original, and in all other respects is a totally different gun. Everything about the 2.0 has been overhauled, from capacity to the trigger to the ergonomics. And we like it. A lot.

Mesa Tactical has two new mounts for RMR-pattern reflex sights. These mounts place the RMR low enough to co-witness with the factory iron sights. Mesa Tactical already made a similar mount for the Beretta A300/1301 family of shotguns, but now Benelli M4 and M2 owners can outfit their guns as well.

FAB Defense have launched an all polymer version of their Gradus pistol grip. The Gradus-X is an ergonomic grip designed for rifles that use AR pattern pistol grips. It has a palm swell and a 15 degree grip angle which FAB Defense say reduces hand and wrist strain. It is available in three colors: black, olive drab green and flat dark earth. Perhaps the main draw of the Gradus-X over the original, rubberised Gradus, is that the Gradus-X retails at $11.99 MSRP, while the Gradus comes in at $25.99. So if you're in the market for an economical, slightly different, ergonomic grip for your AR, the Gradus-X may fit the bill.

In the world of guns and gear, we often talk about the latest and greatest when it comes to the newest gun products but we talk little about protecting our guns when there are some very clever ways of adding layers of security to your firearms when you’re not around. For the last 6 months or so I have been trying out and testing the Simtek StealthALERT motion detector in my gun safe and after some time with the sensor, I can confidently say I have enough info to bring you guys my thoughts.
