Photo Of The Day where we take a closer look at the Daewoo Precision Industries K2 assault rifle as well as the M27. Just above you see a Republic of Korea Marine with the 31st Battalion, 1st Marine Division with the K2C1 rifle and a grenade launcher, while participating in a marksmanship competition with U.S. Marines during Warrior Shield 24 at Rodriguez Live Fire Complex, Pocheon, South Korea, March 5, 2024.

Below: A Republic of Korea Marine with the 31st Battalion, 1st Marine Division fires a U.S. M27 Infantry Automatic Rifle during Warrior Shield 24 at Rodriguez Live Fire Complex, Pocheon, South Korea.

“Warrior Shield 24 is an annual joint, combined exercise held on the Korean Peninsula that seeks to strengthen the combined defensive capabilities of ROK and U.S. forces. This routine, regularly scheduled, field training exercise provides the ROK and U.S. Marines the opportunity to rehearse combined operations, exchange knowledge, and demonstrate the strength and capabilities of the ROK-U.S. Alliance.”

Looks like a near miss. Do you know your zero?
