Magazines are consumable items and when it comes time to replace them, finding affordable replacements can sometimes be difficult. Extar USA, in its mission to keep shooting more affordable, has released its new EM9-18 Glock-pattern 9mm magazines that retail for right around $10, and also feature a few enhancements of their own to make them more reliable and less prone to premature damage and wear. These new magazines are designed to be compatible with all full-size 9mm double-stack Glock handguns in both their compact and sub-compact variants.

Ammunition has finally made its way back onto store shelves and I always like to come back around to this subject every so often to give myself a bit of a reality check when it comes to ammunition prices. The first observation right off the bad is that, yes, things are still expensive and they don’t look like they are going to come down in price anytime soon. Second, I’ve noticed that hunting ammunition is a lot more popular this year and a lot harder to find, especially when it comes to some of the more recently popular hunting cartridges like 6.5 Creedmoor. With H.R. 1808 ominously looming over our heads, I wouldn’t be surprised if more magazines start disappearing from the shelves as a precautionary measure by some. So in addition to some ammunition deals I’ve found, I’m also including some deals on quality AR-15 magazines in case you want to stock up. Never, ever stop buying magazines.

Just after their 30th anniversary of being in business in the states, Mec-Gar USA is excited to announce the launch of their new 9mm 10 and 19-round CZ75B competition magazines. These new magazines make use of a 17-round magazine body with a pre-installed black aluminum +2 base pad. For the 10-round magazines (for use with Limited 10 and Production divisions) the magazine tube will be dimpled to restrict the capacity down to 10-rounds without affecting the fit or length of the magazines in the pistol.

Hello and welcome back to another edition of The Rimfire Report! This ongoing series is all about the rimfire firearm world and its various guns, gear, sports, ammunition, and trends. A couple months ago, you guys will remember that we took a look at the old school High Standard Flite King. In that article, we discovered a few things about my little pawnshop find including the fact that it may have actually been a mash-up of a High Standard Sport King frame with a Flite King barrel. During the course of my testing of the pistol, some of you will remember that the magazine’s follower humorously broke and ejected itself from the pistol en bloc clip style. My review of the pistol ended right then and there and for weeks I wasn’t able to find an affordable solution. Today we’ll discover the process I took with fellow TFB Writer Giorgio O, TFBTV Discord member/notorious firearms mangler Stubbs to return the Flite King’s magazine to service in the hopes that it may inspire some of you hesitant about 3D printing to take it up yourself.

Your favorite Italian-founded manufacturer of aftermarket and OEM magazines is excited to celebrate 30-years of US operations this year. Mec-Gar USA cracked the US market on April 20th, 1992 and fast became one of the largest distributors and importers of pistol magazines in the United States. 30-years later, Mec-Gar has become somewhat of a household name within the firearms community and the Mec-Gar name on magazines or just the mere mention of their name in the context of the production of the magazines is usually a sign of quality that many firearms owners trust.

As far back as January of 2021, Magpul has been teasing the release of some new drum mags for Glock and H&K platforms. The good news is that three new Magpul PMAG D-50 drums have just been released! Each of these new drums is made and engineered in the United States and will be compatible with the most popular pistols, and pistol caliber carbines of today.

From these great online retailers, we’ll be looking at some guns, some ammo, and a couple of other things that should help you kick off the rust this spring and get you back into action.

Outside of a handful of popular options, finding affordable, reliable, and durable AK47 magazines can be a difficult task. That is why XTech Tactical is excited to announce the release of its Generation 2 MAG47 line of AK47 composite magazines. The MAG47 Gen 2 will be available in three different varieties including a California-compliant one and all three new variants will include improvements to both their construction and reliability factors.

The launch of a new sister brand for Modular Driven Technologies (MDT) has just been announced. MambaMag is intended to provide shooters with quality aftermarket magazines for factory rifles that increase their overall magazine capacity. This supposedly allows you to field higher round capacities on a traditional rifle without any need for drastic modifications to the platform. Their starting lineup should include magazine extension offerings for TIkka, Howa, Remington, and Lithgow rifles.

KCI USA showed off their new magazine for the B&T 9mm series of guns. Bottom line up front: suggested retail is $34.99 for a 30-round magazine, and they should be available within the next month. All KCI magazines are manufactured in Korea, but tested in the US. KCI said they have done extensive drop testing on this new magazine, and they had numerous videos of it being dropped from all angles on all sides.

Mec-Gar manufactures a sizeable share of magazines on the market today. In fact, you may own a Mec-Gar magazine without even knowing it because they are an OEM supplier to many of the biggest names in the gun industry. Mec-Gar is Italian, and, despite the difficult COVID situation in that country, had a record year for magazine production.

During every gun rush, it always goes through my head the amount of things I should have bought while I could have gotten them. There’s a number of things that are trickling back into stock so it’s never a bad idea to stock up on things you need before products either become tough to find or elevated in price. Let’s take a look at a few guns and gear to buy now rather than later since they are getting back into stock.
